Can AI Write a Human-Sounding Article? | [Honest] Best AI Text Generation Tools Review

Ойын-сауық

Look, we've all heard about the best AI text generation tools. We all feel the rumblings that robots are coming for our jobs. Maybe we've even tried one or two of the best AI text generation tools, hoping to make our lives a little easier one day.
Maybe you've WANTED to try one of the "best AI text generation tools" but then it asks you for your credit card and you're worried you'll forget to cancel the trial and $29 is a lot of money nowadays.
No matter what your question, if you want to know about the best AI text generation tools out there today, you've come to the right place.
I tested: JASPER.AI, COPY.AI, ARTICLE FORGE, and RYTR. I asked them each to write an article on "boredom vs burnout" and to draft a short fiction story about Della, a human girl, and Nedward, a glamorous vampire.
I tested them for:
- Ease of use. How easy was this ai text generation tool to use?
- Versatility. Could it do more than one thing?
- Quality. These all claim to be the "best' AI text generation tool. What was the truth?
My conclusion: Jasper.ai was the best, but all four were terrible. Seriously, I don't know of any qualified writer who is successfully relying on one of the alleged best AI text generation tools to write articles. These four ain't it. Save your $29 and save your time. The articles and fictional stories were borderline unreadable.

Hi Zulie! As an avid Jasper user and KZreadr whose channel is pretty much dedicated to showing others how to use it, I’ve gotta chime in with my two cents. I agree that AI writers can't replace human writers. But my perspective has always been that AI writers are meant to _assist_ rather than _replace_ us. I always say using Jasper is like riding a horse: he has the potential to get you where you want to go a lot faster than you could get there on your own, but you’ve got to hold the reins and guide him, or he’ll end up running all over the place. Jasper’s designed to be a time saver and a writer’s block buster - but I always take Jasper’s outputs as the “raw clay” that I can then craft into my own polished piece of content. Another thing worth mentioning is that the quality of the outputs greatly depends on the inputs provided. For blog posts (and long-form content in general), you really need the Boss Mode plan that has the long-form editor and recipes. This is where Jasper really shines brightest because of Commands and "look back," which gives you the opportunity to provide Jasper with more detailed instructions and context, resulting in greater control over the outputs. The templates are really more for sales copy and short-form content. It does take practice learning to use Jasper effectively, but once you get the hang of it, it’s a very powerful tool to have a content creator! I agree with you on all the other AI writers you mentioned, though; they're not so good, lol.

It may be that Jasper is a useful tool, but imo it's worth disclosing your affiliate arrangement!

Zulie, thanks for sharing....I had the same point view regarding AI writing tools...We are writing for humans, how robots can appeal us and connect with us on emotional level.

Your honesty is refreshing. Do you mind doing a WriteCream review? From what I have seen, their content is higher quality. I'd like to verify that.

Thanks. I wanted to look into this but I won't waste my time. I hate editing crap writing, I'd much rather start from scratch. But it is getting scary, think about where they will be in 5 or 10 years.

HI Zulie. As someone curious about AI writers but not actively seeking them out, I appreciate this post - it's a good review of a few basic apps. I've never used one, but in theory, I agree with Corrie's comment that the higher-end apps can assist in producing the clay for a human writer to mold. They just can't bring the character or experience that a human can. But I've also read Linda Caroll's recent (Medium) article attacking AI writers from the copyright/ownership perspective. Sobering. Big companies are using AI, supposedly to save time and money. I haven't researched like others have, so what I want to know is: will AI-written content really be corporate's future, while individual human writers continue to publish content that's more interesting and likely better researched, but takes longer to produce? In the not-too-distant future, will readers learn to check the byline to see if those words were written by Zulie Rane vs. Jasper.com? Will they even care?

Although I do not have access to Notion AI's Alpha release (I'm 235,000+ on their waitlist), I am encouraged by two videos showing its capabilities. AI text generation will eventually improve writing structure (outline, summaries, grammar, spelling, etc.), while a talented human author will improve the hooks that keep readers entertained and enlightened.

There is another AI that is one of the more popular that you didn't review here. Word Hero. It, in my opinion, rivals and actually improves on the Jasper experience and if you get in through AppSumo, you get a one time, lifetime, no limit usage instead of high monthly payments like Jasper's $59/month. I agree with you that it is a big mistake to think in terms of it replacing you. A machine can't do that. But, it can be a very helpful writer's assistant.

I've watch close to 40 different people Comet different AI reviews and their limitations. Out of all of the different AI that I've heard of not one of you guys have mentioned chat GPT. That's the very first AI that I used and it wasn't amazing but it definitely passed on its level of writing. It's raining is not amazing but then again most writer's writing is NOT amazing. If you tell which chat GPT to write a fiction story about a priest home was recently released from prison after serving 25 years for a murder he didn't commit, and he wants to take Vengeance on the people who framed him. It will write you a very generic story but just as good as what I've read a lot of books over the years from basic writers. Secondly, as a writer you should not want it to write you a fiction story that you can just publish. What you will have to do is read what it wrote you, and then make request adjustments. Like you made tell it to make the priest more angry and bitter. You could say slip in the love interest for the priest, and make the cop who arrested him give him a hard time throughout the story. Then you simply expound on the story after they write you about 1500 words. And you ask it to give you certain specifics as you are going along with critiquing the story. So basically you're taking its generic idea and making it more your idea by adding a bunch of details and having it rewrite the same story with those details. By the time you do that two or three hundred times your book will basically be done. And it will actually be your book because of the amount of input.
