Ok, as a CoCo ICHI employee I have to say 2 things: 1. It's actually shocking that Matt hasn't been to Go Go Curry in 5 years. (Even I have been there before some times within just my first year of living in Japan.) 2. What you both don't seem to know is what actually makes CoCo ICHI so awesome! Yes, there is a wide variety on the menu, but - the only time I ordered a dish from the menu was when I went there my very first time. The most amazing thing about CoCO ICHI is the extreme high customization level that let's you literally create your very own curry. 1. You can choose a sauce (Pork [= standard], sweet pork, beef, hashed beef or veggie) (If you think you don't have enough sauce you can get some extra. And if you think the sauce is too thin, just mix it with the rice. - Actually [even if you don't think that] always mix it with the rice.) 2. You can choose the rice amount, from 150g up to basically no end. (Though 800g is the highest order I ever got.) (300g is standard.) 3. You choose your spiciness and/or sweetness level (from 0 [= standard spiciness ] up to 10 or 15) - you can even mix that. (And I really recommend trying that out. - In case they don't have a sweetness level - cuz some restaurant do, some don't - just ask for a sweeting sauce.) 4. And now comes the most fun part. Don't look at the pre-designed dishes in the menu.(Unless it's your first time.) But instead go to the "ingredients" page. There is a page in the menu that actually lists all the individual ingredients. And you can order absolutely anything from there and mix absolutely everything. And you can also have everything "half size". (So if you wanna mix more than 2 ~ 3 things together going half size might be a good idea.) And there is also extra stuff (like corn, tuna, boiled egg, half-boiled egg, etc.) that you can order and put in your curry. So you can literally create your VERY OWN CURRY! And the cool thing is: The price varies depending on what you choose. For example, if you choose 150g or 200g rice, the price will go down. If you order half sized ingredients, you also have to pay less. (And you also get unlimited amount of water for free.) Isn't that amazing!? And if you don't like the curry, then it's your own fault, because you were the one who mixed those things together. (HAHAHA XD) Ok, but in all seriousness, I've never eaten anything there that I didn't like - and after going through everything I thought sounded good I explicitly choose/mixed stuff that I wouldn't normally - and was often surprised how good it was. They also always have some special and/or seasonal curry. And even with those you can choose the (extra) ingredients yourself. It's 100% customizable. It's like a video game where you can fully customize your character. XD That's what I love so much about CoCo ICHI. =D So, try that out next time you go there! ;) Thank you very much for coming and... またお越しくださいませ！:)
I tried using this as itinerary but it didn’t work. From Kogen church you cannot walk to the Shiraito falls. Google maps shows this as a 2h plus walk and I couldn’t find any buses that would take me there. So we only used the first part of the itinerary

Excellent video! This video captured the essence of Karuizawa and it’s beautiful nature. So hard to find videos likes yours as most KZreadrs just blah blah and show very little content, and instead keep their faces in the frame all time. Just want to tell them please show me the place and not yourself. Thank you again for your lovely video!!!
i heard that japan was very expensive per square metre but this doesn't seem so bad, i work as a pipe welder and i earn around 3000 a month, so this is pretty alright for space like that

I wonder if you've ever been to the Moss Forest in Nagano? I'm trying to plan a long weekend trip to that area mostly to walk around the forest and famous pond too but I'm having difficulty in figuring out where to base myself (I won't have a car and will rely on local bus transport once in a local village). I'd like to stay somewhere very lush, green, foresty and charming, with some restaurants and shops-- even a farmers market if possible. If you are considering going to the forest I'd be thrilled to watch your video about it. I've done so much research and am coming up empty handed.

Hi Ernest, nice video. Do you think 4~5 days in Karuizawa is too long? Should I stay in Tokyo and go to K as a side trip? Looking for a city where I can just bum around this summer.
Annyeong, 4-5 days in Karuizawa might be a bit long if you aren't doing a cottage stay or nature excursion. I think 2 days is enough for the places in this video, the 2nd day is mostly if you want more time for shopping in the outlet. I hope this helps, thanks for watching!

I only came to watch this video after accidentally spotted this tiny island near Taiwan that is about to fight with China. Haha. Not a bad island, but I am more interested in cityscapes like Tokyo. Anyway, if you are traveling abroad again, do not forget to bring me along.

Thank you for the kind words! We took the bus to Kyu-Karuizawa and Harunire Terrace. The other spots like the pond and the Hoshino area we walked to as they were somewhat close to the main spots. For the waterfall, the hotel picked us up and took us there on the way. I hope this helps, thanks for the support!

You can reserved online with the car rental company. They'll pick you up directly at the airport when you arrive and take you to their office/rental parking lot. Then you finish the paperwork, get the car and off you go!

teamLab have a couple of exhibition locations in the US, but nothing compares to this! I definitely would visit this if I'm in Tokyo! The sauna seems soothing, but that cold water will probably wake me up for sure :P The Ephemeral Solidified Light is my favorite, they look like rainbow raindrop that is not wet :) Very nice video, it's almost like you booked the whole place for this. Thanks for another quality video and letting us explore Japan virtually.

Sounds like even during Covid restrictions, Tokyo is still an exciting place to be! The 3rd art exhibit seems out of this world, really want to try it!

What made this a video worth thumbing up is that you gave practical information; I love to use KZread to propel me as I put travel itineraries together so to have the names of the locations of the places you film is so valuable. People always have 'FOMO' when they are only in a city or town for a few days, having flashbacks to vlogs or photos they've seen and comparing their immediate environs to that. Around them will be ugly concrete urban life and people enter a mild anxiety wondering where the 'beautiful tropical stuff' is, and importantly HOW TO GET THERE...or even where a trip should be based for the best travel links to the aforementioned gorgeousness. So a vlog like this reassures people that they won't remain in the built up, ugly part of a city or town; here's what's in Ishigaki and here's where it is on a map. For you to share, in economical language, basic travel information and really good practical tips and logistical info etc, is TERRIFIC. Things that you learned the hard way and wish to stress the importance of is also really fascinating and will make your channel unique; only YOU can share these tips, tricks, recommendations and anecdotes because they come from YOUR life, not as part of some flashy, formulaic 'travel vlogger' template. Ishigaki remains on my radar and during this era of restricted travel and abnormal behaviour I will gobble up as many fun and intelligent travel-related videos that I can. Thumbs up.
