Part 2 was so much worse it's hard to believe anyone involved with the first was involved with the second.

Ah, "Scoob". The first of many productions that's more concerned with turning Hanna-Barbera characters into celebrities just asking like themselves as opposed to, y'know, trying to be faithful to the shows they're based on. See also "Jellystone!" and Mindy Kaling's self-insert vanity project with "Scooby-Doo" characters slapped on it. As for the "Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe", apparently there are plans to do animated theatrical movies based on "The Flintstones", "The Jetsons", and "Wacky Races". Five bucks says we get Chris Pratt as Fred and Maya Rudolph as either Wilma or Betty.

I’m confused about that Loki comment. In the original mythology Loki actually had a kid with a horse? His 3 kids(not with the horse though) are pretty important to how ragnorok gets started.

So ARE we getting an Owls Of Ga-Hoole sequel?? Oh. We're not. What an absolute shame. Guess I'll just have to read the rest of the novels.

I genuinely feel like the end of the Simpson would be the event of the cinema century just because of how big it is tho it’s never going to happen just because of the money but it’s a fun thought

I think they just honestly put too much into one movie. If this had been 90 mins and was just about Mystery Inc helping Blue Falcon and Dyno-Mutt, it would have gone over a lot better. I imagine they will try this again eventually, assuming Disney doesn't buy WB in the next five years and all over the legendary content WB owns gets vaulted away to the depths of D+

As someone who went into it completely blind I actually really enjoyed it. The fact it was a huge crossover of Hanna Barbera characters was a big surprise for me, which I loved. It felt like a love letter. It did fall into the same trap as the live action movies of making the monsters real, which completely goes against what Scooby Doo is about, but when it’s also including the wider pantheon you sort of forgive it.

I remember as a kid I, a person who had a LOT of trouble saving money as a child, scraped together my pitiful allowance in the hopes that one day I could buy my own copy of Treasure Planet. One time, I found it at Barnes & Noble, but it was $30, and even though I had enough money, my parents wouldn't let me buy it, because we would "find it cheaper elsewhere" (in most circumstances they would be correct, but this is Disney, and Disney had some weird vendetta against Musker & Clements for this project) ...I didn't find it cheaper elsewhere until college. I looked in every DVD section of every store we went to during all that time, always holding on to enough money to buy Treasure Planet, but the only times I was able to see it were the rare times it was on TV. Probably safe to say I would've watched a sequel and/or series. Sidenote: when will Disney+ put Fillmore! on their streaming platform? Loved that show as a kid.

as much as i’d like a ga’hoole movie sequel, i get the feeling they’d still have to stray from the book storyline a bit since the series has very blatant nazi allegories (as in the villains/pure ones are literally owl nazis- of course fascism is common in family movie villains but im not sure how you’d write the literal-ness of the novels’ portrayal into a family-friendly movie, if that would be the route a hypothetical sequel went

I’ve loved all the ice age movies, no matter how long the series went on they’re still all fun to watch no matter how ridiculous. This one…is not one of them. Peaches is no where to be seen, animation is horrible, added a new character but not one as lovable as buck, the possum triplets, peaches, or Thomas. This was just badly mad.

Owls of Ga'Hoole is still my favorite movie to this day! I watched it when I was 5 and have always said it was my favorite for years! Now as an adult I always remember this movie and would watch it so many times if I could! I've watched it so much that I can memorize a lot of the lines out of instinct. I really do want a sequel to the movie but we can only wish!
