The best advice anyone's given me in regards to streaming is to treat your stream like a recorded video. Basically learning how to talk to yourself/get comfortable with commentating/laughing at YOURSELF bc that's the content. sometimes you are just performing in front of a camera/mic to a silent audience. and that's ok. I'm only now realising that my habit of doing this off camera really helps now that I'm streaming haha you gotta be just a little wacky to be a streamer after all. I will say I definitely needed to hear that a quiet chat doesn't mean an uninterested chat, especially if people are hanging around just not talking... it means they do enjoy the stream enough to stay. Not everyone wants to put the spotlight on themselves in a chat, and I can understand that. thanks for the pointers man! Great contextual answers with some further insight for common small streamer problems. Much appreciated.

I've streamed for 3 years, with virtually no growth, I consistently have 1 viewer with a record of 5. So, yeah. Reviewing my videos and seeing what I do wrong seems like the best idea now, although my friends seem to believe it's because of the games I play, they're all old and really show their age.

Couldn't be a worse time😆 as yesterday I dropped twitch and deleted all my old content after a year. I will say that most of these things I'd already done, though the reasons I quit were not due to a lack of success so much as streaming being the most toxic media platform in existence, matched perhaps only by the online gaming community itself. Also, not very excited about the quality of games over the past 5 years. That said, your video is the most informative and useful one I've seen for the amount of watching time required. I think I'll apply much of it to future KZread videos 👍

No, but a niche isn’t a specific game necessarily either. A niche is just an audience who all enjoy the same thing. So all Nintendo fans, or all roguelikes, or all cozy gamers. Consider a group of people with the same likes, dislikes, and hobbies, what can you make to appeal to them consistently.

Logitech is an amazing (and underrated) brand. My current PC setup retains just two elements of my original 2009 setup: the chassis, and the sound system. Everything inside the chassis has been upgraded at least twice, ditto all the peripherals - except the OG Logitech sound system, which still performs like it did a *quarter century* ago, with sound quality I'm still happy with.
