Isn't this funny, the original avengers also weren't household names.…Until they were. You could call them B or C list heroes coming up back then, but it seems recently they just can't handle writing a character anymore.

They’re just not producing the good movies - fresh scripts, new stories. There’s a beautiful cinema just five minutes from me, that was only opened about six years ago, but it shows mainly kids’ films. Sometimes it has a week of “golden oldies”, which is all very cute, but why pay £12 to watch an old film you can rent for £3? I’ve visited the cinema only a handful of times in the last few years and there’s only ever about 20 people in the theatre, at most. The days of the blockbuster seem to be over, and I can’t stand all that Marvel comic stuff.

So glad I've never watched it. Giladriel hasn't been ruined for me. I've got nothing against diversity, or a strong female character. But when it's a established much loved fantasy epic by someone such as Tolkien,...you DONT MESS WITH IT!! The Tolkien estate wasn't happy with Jackson's rendition, than what do they think of this disrespectful debacle?
