  5’ and 7’. Longer rods for lakes and casting distance. The shorter rods better for getting around in the brush.

  It’s pretty short. I think you can do it in under two hours. It took a lot longer because we did a bunch of off shoots and stopped for lunch.

  How do you fish the hookup bait? Do you just drop it and let it sit or jig it some sort of way ??

  I am still trying to figure it out, but it seems like there are several ways for bass. It almost always seems to get bit on the sink or on a pause during a retrieve, I I mostly let it sink to a certain depth, wind 5-20 cranks, then let it back down.

  I have since heard it as well. There was nothing posted that we could see, and there were several people camped on the sand when we arrived, so it didn’t occur to me that it wouldn’t be okay.

  There's a spot where you cross a bridge and There's lots of rocks by a little creek/river nice place to camp out.

  I use Gaia GPS for land navigation and as a back on my boat. My sonar/gps on the boat is a 20+ year old Humminbird.

  @@henrysauceda4439 I am hopefully going to upgrade boats in a year or two, so I have been putting off getting a more modern unit. As primitive as it is, it still works great.

  @@rohrsoutdoors it seems to work very good. Seeing taking your kids fishing reminds when I use to take my daughters fishing when they were little like yours . Now they are in early 40ths busy working. Continue to cherish those moments my friend .

  For lakes and ponds I like to fish a Carolina rig. A fairly small sliding egg sinker with a Carolina Keeper or swivel, and then a 12”-18” leader. #8 Owner Mosquito hook. Bait is either a mouse tail or the Berkeley night crawler chucks.

  Yes. Several of the offshoots were closed off when I ran it, presumably due to rains. I took it north and ended up at Silverwood Lake.

  Thanks! Some rocks in 100’ off of Long Beach, basically due south from the Eastern end of the Wall. Lots of spots out there, and relatively easy to find with a sonar.

  yes, its a dead end but the trail usually has a lot of snow cause its a canyon that doesn't get a lot of sunlight. @@rohrsoutdoors
