Alastors voice gets toned down and evened out in the official show, he still has a radio filter but it sounds WAAAAY better. I felt the same as you about he pilot that it sounded too much

Welcome to the fan club. You should know that now we're all expecting all 8 episodes of season 1 of Hazbin Hotel (the Amazon Prime series we got as a result of this KZread Pilot series), and both seasons of Hazbin Hotel's sister series the KZread series 'Helluva Boss'*. It's set in a different ring of Hell (this Hell's made up of seven rings, one for each of the deadly sins, Hazbin Hotel is set in the Pride Ring with is the chief ring of them all since Pride is supposed to be the route for all the other sins, and each have a demon ruling over each ring as the embodiment of each Sin, Lucifer (Charlie's dad) is the embodiment of Pride so he rules over the Pride Ring but he's also the King of Hell in its entirety so all the other sins answer to him and his family because they outrank the rest of them, Helluva Boss is set in the other rings so we meet other deadly Sins).

Grew up watching it and love it and esmeralda was first dinsey crush love her beautiful eyes and i love the Bells and Hellfire also im an atheist but was sad when 5 years ago Notre Dame burned once again and lost a lot of history and relics to the fire and am glad its now repaired and hope to go see it someday

I’m sure there will be plenty of people to explain the lore in the comments but the sinners looks have to do with how and when they died which is why Tom Trench has a gas mask because he died during ww1

I stumbled across this a few months back and was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. The design, the characters, the colours, the humour. You get used to the radio demon’s audio. By the end I found it added to the menace of the character.

If you do decide to continue with the show keep in mind there is a week time jump from pilot to episode 1 when in real time it was 4 years 😅

The cast for the pilot is entirely different than the main shows cast. There was a 4 year production time difference due to reasons.

Honestly you asked all the perfect questions to set up the rest of the season. Also props on the Lilith prediction! It’s easy to miss but there’s a portrait in the hotel titled “Lilith”as well as the same character in a portrait with Charlie. Excellent reaction!

Some people didn't like the gargoyles or thought that they were a bit of a distraction for the depth of this film - but I don't think people remember that this movie was made on the tail-end of Disney's Gargoyles tv show hype; I believe they were trying to wiggle in any kind of a "wink" to any audience members who might have been fans of that show (which was pretty much all of us if you were a Disney 90's Kid). I think the Disney people were trying to create an emotional intersection for the History People who would know the gargoyles because the role they play in the structure and story of the Notre Dame cathedral and the Disney People who just get a kick out of charming, sentient gargoyles. I remember myself and so, so many of my friends and family just loving Laverne, Victor, and Hugo‼✨That's the Disney Magic 🪄

When you look up acting credits, keep in mind that the 8 episode series that got produced for Amazon Prime was recast, so the voice actors are all different from those in the pilot. Stephanie Beatriz is in the Amazon show - not the pilot.

Why does Bing Bong always make me cry? I can’t remember if I had a childhood imaginary friend but I can somehow feel their absence regardless. Or perhaps it is simply a fear of being forgotten that triggers the sorrow.

I am sorry to say that I have never seen this movie, but I really really want to start watching Horror 😅 even though I really don’t think it’s gonna be a good time because I am not at all familiar with the genre. Honestly, I’ve avoided scary movies purposely my whole life. This one is definitely on my list for sure, I like the idea of monster movies
