This makes no sense on a workload standpoint, essentially running an aircraft in circles instead of moving traffic out of the way. The aggressiveness of the controller made my blood curl. Kudos to the Shamrock pilot for remaining cool and making it clear that wasn’t the end of it

...I know I'm late to this video, but based on this video/radar, the shannon tower atc? can talk to airplanes near dublin (ok more like meath or westmeath) too?? Like I know a flight between the two airports is short but I didn't think the tower frequency could reach that far XD

When future NY controllers are told in training they'll be working in one of the busiest airspaces in the world (which I imagine they _are_ told), this seems to have an ego-boosting rather than a humbling effect on them.

The BA pilots are the worst for getting into it with the ATC, and I really don't know why. In this instance, the poor ATC was beyond swamped. The BA pilot had to know this, but he just kept at her over and over until she cut him off, saying she wasn't going to argue this on frequency. Then, the self-important BA pilot says he's going to make a report against the ATC who's still trying to get him off the frequency. He says it's a safety report, which is unbelievable because he was the one distracting her on a very busy day. I'm sure that the pilot's complaint will be filed in the appropriate filing cabinet.....the round one under the desk. Sending a big shout out to the Air Lingus pilot who gave an appropriate response to the BA pilot, "Wow" 🤣😂🤣👍🏻😁❤️

Cut BA some slack, he didn’t hear ATC and although we can assume he wasn’t listening we don’t know why he didn’t hear. BA has dealt with the situation as he saw / heard it, as for the SR he *May* be mandated to do that by his employer BUT personally I’d have saved myself all that extra work.

I'm sorry whatever happened I fontblike it if I sense people are talking about me and I don't think having a chuckle like that is professional especially over rafio don't they realise in most countries its quite legal via apps yo listen in to pilots, not in uk and I eould becer risk it but uts not correct behaviour for your 16 year old son or daughter to learn, tgat it's okay yo teasebpeople if you have dkmething to say yo each other no matter how much a pain in you know what a pilots being waif while you're in private with these pilots ghs ATC controller needed reminding of her role and professional etiquette , and pilots vinvolved the more I watch these videos it's proberly saved my bacon as I never would fly and now certainly would never fly , and that's not cos of pilots but you as a passengernger don't know whose on the ATC desk thrir temperament other pilots temperaments how well nechanics done their job okay you could get this in a car but you've a better chance of surviving a car crash

He was being a bit sharp with pilot, okay I get rackled when someone gets annoyed, but I'm not in charge of lives he didn't let go of the getting on to him, and why when pilot was on ground okay weather was bad but if everyone who had taken off had not reported weather she should have collared on of those pilots who had taken off put them on a live radio call to that pilot then he'd have complied each other having a yittle tattle dosent look proffessional

The controller is literally going to get somebody killed inducing stress into a freq like that especially with weather. His life isn’t in danger what so ever so a dispatcher or controller has no reason to be emotionally unstable. Usually you see it in the pitty whores who wanna make everything about them as if they are the one in a situation. No matter what you can’t be inducing stress into a freq in aviation or public safety. Your talking to people who actually have skin in the game so I’ve seen very experienced guys start making mistakes because a dispatcher/controller spreads fear & panic like STDs.
