Looks like Swiss plane took too much time to take of and causes the Ryanair go around due to traffic separation

if spacing is that tight, then it's ATC's fault.

Why? ATCO has asked the pilots of the departing aircraft if they are ready. They said affirm, so ATCO thought they could depart immediately.

Donat Marko Why didn’t she give them take off clearance instead of the line up instruction or said expedite with the clearance, then?

They shouldn't receive clearance in such small time windows and in my opinion that is what caused this, sort of going along what peter said. It seems like tower believed that swissair would start rolling right away giving a small time window for swissair to depart, IMO tower should have called for Swissair to hold short. I feel like this is cutting it too close.

@@Donatusification true, yet ready is not necessarily the same as ready for immediate. I don't see any mistake in how tower worked this situation. she just tried and get them off the ground ahead of ryanair. I think, though, just asking "ready for immediate" and giving info on distance inbound would've been helpful to the swiss crew. That being said, I've never been a fan of the take-off clearances with traffic on less than a 3mile final. 3miles are ~70seconds. take away 10 for the clearance and read back, take away 10-15 seconds for clock, engine stabilize and you're at 45seconds remaining...that's just insane really.

what, she said go around and maintain 4000 but now she wants them to climb to 3000???? how does that work?

She would’ve given a standard clearance and afterwards would have coordinated with approach to confirm that was what he wanted, obviously then approach would have told her that he was to stop his climb at 3000 instead of 4000
