    With safe off it's fine? You might have a badly calibrated gyro. Nothing you can adjust easily. With the plane on the bench and the fuselage straight and level, does the elevator go up when you turn on safe? It may go up slightly but if it goes up a lot then the gyro isn't properly calibrated. I would return it and get another one.

    If you can fly an Avanti S V2 80mm and a L-39 80mm, would this high-speed flying Dorito fit into this equation?

  • @all_rc
    @all_rc4 күн бұрын

    Sure! The only thing is the high roll rate. Do 3 rates at first. Book high and low aileron and one more even lower. Once you get used to it, even high rate won't be an issue. Landing is actually easier with the " Doritos" as high angle of attack is pretty easy and stable. Your can come in and over flare and it's still be alright.

    65 year old male. I have enjoyed flying model aircraft since the age of 12. Recently I purchased the UMX Consendo powered glider. Fantastic ship for sure! Unfortunately, I had a bit of a crash after a Dumb Thumb pushing through the back side of a rotor. ( I do know better). Ended up tearing off the wing and ripping out all the wires from the wing servos jack. I have finished repairs but for the life of me I can't find the wire configuration of the wing jack anywhere? On line? Nothing Dealer? Nothing. Horizon hobbies won't help either. I am hoping you do me a solid with a snapshot of the jack in question , showing the wire config? To be clear I'm lookin for a close image of the male/female Jack connection between the fuselage and wing servos... Cheers

    Any thoughts on FRSKY TD/TW receiver pwm output ranges vs DSMX? I just swapped out a DSMX receiver for a FRSKY one and found FRSKY has a wider PWM output range. Not noticeable on the centered channels (AER centered around 1500us) but very noticeable on the low end of the throttle. One e-flite ESC does not turn on until about 1200us and the FRSKY Rx goes all the way down to 980us. So there is a big dead band at the bottom of the throttle. Which I have compensated for but was wondering if you had dealt with this.

  • @all_rc
    @all_rc25 күн бұрын

    Yeah, the range is more like 125% on Spektrum. Always do an esc calibration when changing transmitters... Even the same brand. I always bind then esc calibration. If you are unfamiliar, throttle cut off, throttle full on. Then plug in the receiver. Usually (depending on the esc manufacturer) Wait for a beep. Then throttle down. Once that's done. Throttle will be perfect for your transmitter.

  • @thomasedwards629
    @thomasedwards62925 күн бұрын

    Thanks, What I am seeing is the motor does not spin until about the throttle PWM is around 1145us for both spektrum and FrskyTW. My spektrum Rx throttle @ -100% output is ~1100us. But the FrskyTW throttle@ -100% output is 990us. So the ESC calibration doesn't help on the low end. As it seems the ESC 0 point is well above the 0 throttle for Frsky. I can put a curve on the throttle, but this seems a little odd.

  • @all_rc
    @all_rc25 күн бұрын

    I have never had to adjust throttle curves or end points. Keep throttle at 100 and minus 100. Which is 990us on the low end for throttle or any of the sticks. Do the throttle calibration. I always do it. Especially if I have a Spektrum equipped BNF plane. If I don't do it, throttle doesn't activate until almost 1/4 throttle. Once calibration is done, throttle activates properly. Give it a try.

  • @thomasedwards629
    @thomasedwards62925 күн бұрын

    @@all_rc Not working for me with Frsky. Fine with DSMX, but I'll keep at it. I found an e-flite esc manual that says the ESC pwm input range is between 1.1ms-1.9ms. In that case, with an Frsky TW receiver there will always be a dead-zone lower than 1.1ms (min of the ESC) and that is what I am seeing.

  • @all_rc
    @all_rc25 күн бұрын

    Not sure what to tell you. But I have had no problem with DSM receivers and spektrum escs after a calibration. I guess you could go to outputs and adjust the end points for what you want.

    Between the denser AF foam and lighter HSD foam, is it safe to say the denser, heavier AF foam is better for preparing an aspiring turbine pilot for turbines? Asking because I'm deciding between the HSD F16 105mm or the upcoming AF F22 105mm

  • @all_rc
    @all_rc27 күн бұрын

    The AF models seem to have better construction and fitment. Panel lines and general production quality is noticeably better on AF models vs HSD. Should also consider availability of parts. HSD has been out of stock for the F16 for a long time. They dont sell KITS anymore. You can only get a PNP version. No replacement foam parts are available. They just have landing gear parts and some smaller items available for replacement. The AF F22 is new, so stock should be available for a while. But looking at how AF models have been getting discontinued on the BananaHobby site, theres no telling how long parts will be available.

    Nice flying. Just FYI, the markings on the vertical stabs go on the outboard surface, not the inboard. Other than that, looking forward to seeing what your planned mods do for its performance. What effect do you think putting some small squares of screen door screen over the intakes would have? If it would have a negligible effect on performance, it would give a somewhat more scale appearance, I think.

  • @all_rc
    @all_rcАй бұрын

    In my video, ch7 triggers the esc for reverse thrust. So it seems like everything works but it isn't triggering reverse thrust. Did reverse thrust work before? Without my fancy stuff did reverse thrust work the regular way? If you haven't tried, there may be that issue where you have to lower the Min Max on the outputs page. Try creating a new model without any of my mixes and try the reverse thrust the normal way. If it still doesn't work, you may have to go to outputs and play with the Min Max values until it does work. The values that I have seen work is -78% and 78% as I said in the video. If it works in normal mode. Then you probably have a switch direction reversed. For example, the momentary switch. When you assign that switch in logical switch, you need to hold that switch down when you assign it and WHILE holding it down, exit the menu. You should see a down arrow next to the switch. Look at your logical switch for Rev thrust safe. It should turn on when your throttle is enabled and

I was supplied with an FrSKY X18+this module, with prior to delivery all correct s/w versions installed, TX recognised the module, so ready to go...except that NONE of my old FrSKY (ACCST), generic SFHSS OR DSM2 receivers - 5 different models - would bind. I tried everything I could think of, but nope, lovely new transmitter, module installed, just an expensive door stop. Whatever happened to stuff just working?😢

  • @all_rc
    @all_rcАй бұрын

    It does work. Do other receivers work or does it not work at all? Can you check a couple of things.. confirm your module is called IRX4 Lite. There are other modules that look almost the same but they are for different protocols. Make sure that the light on the module is on. Confirm that the pins on the back of the radio where the module plugs in are straight and not bent. I saw one person try to force the module on and bent one of the pins. I never used SFHSS. But for ACCST, use either Frsky X or X2 protocol in the radio. Depends on wether the receiver is ACCST V1 or 2. For DSM, I haven't had much luck recently with AUTO so I try each protocol in the radio once at a time.

    It thermals pretty well. Not quite as good as something like my old Goldberg Electra but it is very nice to thermal for a bit then have a screamer in the same flight. The stock receiver on the concsendo does not have a vario. I run Frsky gear and they do have a receiver with a built in vario. Works very well and the same sensor can do altitude and vario functions. The stock spektrum receiver in the concsendo does have a ton of telemetry including G Force, current draw and battery voltage level.

    Take the trunion out of the front stock retract. Get a drill bit the same size as the head of the A10 80mm retract pin. VERY carefully countersink drill the hole in the trunion checking each time until you have it deep enough to allow the head of the pin to go inside the trunion and stick out the other end to mount the nose gear on it. You may need to file a flat spot onto the pin for the grub screw. No need for sprite cans, fits tight as if it was made that way from E-Flite.

Watch the video and where I program the "Sticky" Logical switch, just replace the Trigger off with the physical momentary switch instead of the 4TCut logic switch. That will allow you to flick for off and hold for on. Also the 4tcut switch is an AND switch so I need to press two buttons to activate it. Make it an EDGE switch and program a delay before active of 1.5 seconds. That way, it's only one switch instead of holding down two switches. Try it out. I’ll see if I can do it. I’m still new to this radio but I might be able to get help from someone in our club that knows more than I do. If not I’ll have to wait for your video. Thanks for the help

    Clone your model and work on the clone (rename the clone in the EDIT MODEL page)... That way if it doesn't work, you didn't screw anything up

    I have one in kit form still in the box so when it’s time to build her, your input will be very helpful. I might keep the landing gear stock, digital MG servos, maybe a gyro, and a high performance fan/esc from Motion RC
