Great flight, is the landing gear from the kit or did you use the gear from another plane? Also what was your CG and battery size for that plane? Thanks

Which power combo did you use? And what gear did you use?

Have been looking for an RC model SU-57. Has any company offered this yet?

You guys back to flying at the field now, or is this from before the flood?

The field is open again. But this is from a few months back. Forgot about it and just found the video yesterday.

Great flight ! think we have all had a jet that is hard work .. I have this jet also will give it a go after seeing this fly. Very interested if the factory CG is close ???

Out of the box, this thing has alot of issues. Had to look at alot of articles and videos online to see what others have done in the past. There are very few models that flew well with the stock setup. But i built both of my projects with new 70mm Inrunner setups and 80A ESCs from FMS and Freewing. Stock Landing gear is also not reliable. Old brittle plastic and a design prone to shattering parts on landing, its just not going to last more than 2 or 3 flights. And this guy comes in hot. I was trying to land like other traditional wing planes, but it stalls abruptly. What has been working for me was to program RUDDER TOW to act as a speed brake and pitch the nose up just enough to touchdown on the mains. Its been alot of work. But its great to see flying well and not crash landing anymore.

@@afbenaza thank you for the reply much appreciated. As you say I will most defiantly change the landing gear (freewing units) and like most of us I have a collection of in runner EDFs (FMS) and maybe tone the rates down and add your Rudder Tow mix in

If you can land a 104, you can land anything. Which is actually similar to how the Su47 needs to be brought down. Cant get too slow or it will stall just as quickly as the F104. Which is odd becuase the theory with forward swept wings is they they should delay stall. Apparently both the Su47 and American X29 proved that theories arent always correct. Especially during high angles of attack. The forward area of the wing becomes more drag than a lifting surface.

Would you trust Ali express for this one in a ARF? Lol
