Technology has brought us to the age where great sound can be delivered over the air without cables. And so here I am, in love all over again and sharing my love for wireless sound with you.

    The update before was the most terrible for me. After starting the app the whole system was gone and it couldn't find anything. The Sonos forum saved me. There people told each other that it needs some minutes to load. Before that info I was just frustrated and started to look for products that were never found by my phone. 😢 Made a factory reset each time and was almost on the edge of crying. To top that I wanted to demonstrate Sonos to my Dad in his home. I couldn't get it to work. Was the best demonstration for Sonos products. My Dad will never ever get a Sonos in his life now.😅 Like Pete said. The App should work intuitive and simple. But in that time I couldn't even connect my Era 100 and Sub to his Wifi and after Factory reset I couldn't setup the Era anymore. I needed Android Samsung phone to find Sonos after factory reset and start the setup and then my iPhone to give the product a room. Why do I need Android and iOS now to activate / setup my Sonos?😮 That is still the same with the new update version. My iPhone 12 mini can't find a Sonos device or at least it takes to much time. Android finds them almost immediately. What the..... After the new Update the connection to the system is there, directly after start. No searching or waiting anymore. But I had an issue today. My Arc System couldn't find the right Era 300 in iPhone. In Android it was there but wasn't playing any sound. Made a reset via disconnecting the power cords of all products and after restart the same problem. Could fix it by muting the Rears and reactivating. But then the Arc couldn't connect to my TV eArc. After second reset the Arc was blinking white and red. Needed to make factory reset. On this occasion I could verify that I still need Android and iPhone for new setup. A super catastrophy. Or what do you all say to that?

    I’m still not getting my hear round the fact that they did not provide a roll back. It may be better that the initial disaster version but unacceptable for a company like SONOS. We pay premium price so we must get premium service. I was a SONOS evangelist but now for the moment I do not recommend it anymore….

    Still can't change the volume without big problems. When changing the volume changes back itself and then after a while i am above 50% volume. New app is still unusable. Speakers dissepear, speakers mute by them self. And i always need to manualy search for my system because it is not possible the start the app without a message that there is no system found. Moved back to the old app again app is still one big mess.

    I had this issue on my old router, but upgraded to eero 6 and everything has been seamless since.

    I cannot delete my old local library and add a new one. Changed my router and the path from my nas changed too. When i try the sonos support solution which i found on the internet the setting is missing 😢

    Surround distance is available with TruePlay engaged. I kind of like this, as I use the 10 ft plus setting (even though I'm only a couple of feet from the surrounds), and I get a lot more detail and volume in the surrounds. I jack my bass, surround and height settings (Atmos is a joke with only up firing drivers, I'll never understand all the hype around this) and am not looking for "creator's intent"; I go for listener's pleasure, lol. Still no artwork in the main S2 play window, with TV source.

    I'm currently selling all my Sonos devices because I've had enough of the chaotic app. Half of the Sonos devices have already been sold on eBay

    @peterpee- the app is still utterly defective and we are giving Sonos to much credit 1. Still can’t edit a queue or delete a track in a queue- AND THIS IS STILL NOT COMING IN THE JULY UPDATE 😡😡😡😡😡😡 2. Not sure if other people have this issue - if you have a queue of music in your tv room and change the source to TV you can’t go back to the music queue - unless I’m missing something 3. Finding that if you add a track to a queue it’s too easy to erase the queue if you keep your finger on the add tack button - I’ve deleted my queue list so many times 4. Connectivity is still awful #fixtheapp #sackthesonosboard

    The Sonos account on X (nee Twitter)...comments are brutal. I am entrenched in the 30%. Thankfully, the TV/Sonos stuff I have is operating. If not, I would have to move out.

    Even with the latest end-June update for the S2 app, I'm still having issues when playing in groups. Parts of the group will randomly go off and sometimes all of them go silent even when the S2 app is showing that the music is progressing (not muted).. Some suggestions in reddit was to disable Sonosnet (claiming the reason for the havoc) and to rely 100% on WiFi for all speakers (I have 12 in total and only the Arc was initially connected to the router). That was done (all wireless) and initially I thought it solved the issue but the next day, the problem resurfaced. Some other people suggested to ditch the S2 app altogether and use SonoPhone/SonoPad instead. I was surprised that I've already had SonoPhone installed (must have bought it some time ago) and tried it just out of curiosity (and the constant frustration with the S2) - lo and behold.. for the last weeks or so, I've yet to experience drop outs and self-mute - and yes, going back to the S2 app now, the problem returns... However, I don't really love the dated look of the SonoPhone's UI but I just bought the SonoPad version just because it simply works and not wasting my time trouble-shooting the issue. I use the SonoPad as a standalone Sonos controller on my old iPad in the hall and it will be the driver app until Sonos wake up their idea.. ヅ

    Peter said update it, but from his voice and words I release that don’t update it haha. Sonos announced that app will update next week. I still keep the 16.1 and it is the best update yet than the new update. If you interested to update it and the see the newest, go ahead. In my side I feel happy with my last update 16.1 and the sound is great.

    I'm not sure if it's just me or if anyone else is getting random muting? Most mornings, the mute light is on all speakers, it could be me, I'm just not sure.

    Thank you for the video. I had to return the sonos ace headphones due to the fact that the audio swap function cannot be setup on Android devices. Could you please keep us updated on this issue? Thanks again for your time and expertise.

    @@jb7753 Set up is a one off process. So like i did you can borrow an i phone install Sonos app on it and quickly do the TV Swap set up. It will then work going forward without an i phone. Not ideal I know & I wasted 2 days trying to set up before I realised the issue.

    firmware update seems to be broken for me, i haven't had a notification for an update for a while now and I didn't know there were firmware updates until i loaded the windows11 Sonos app... that's how i found out about the updates. When i went into the IOS (iphone 15pro) app i had to manually check before a msg popped up saying there were updates available. Tried to update all of my products but they all failed, multiple attempts with multiple errors. I had to update through the Windows11 Sonos app which worked the first time. Also, it seems to update much FASTER through Win11.... Still frustrating though. Great vid as always, all the best!

    It's a disgrace what SONOS has done here and is still doing now. How can you bring an unfinished app onto the market and present buyers/users with such problems. But then be so arrogant that you don't even apologize for it, but instead praise yourself for reintroducing functions that have been taken away. And yes, having 2 flat tires on the car isn't as bad as 4 flat tires, but it's still crap and unusable. Who even tested this disaster app and how? Loud volume, on, off and it's ready, we've built a great app for our buyers' sound experience. Yes, the sound experience of silence, because I know countless people who to this day can no longer get their systems to work properly. But no, they are boasting about headphones that are not much better than the competition that has been on the market for two years. But as I said, not a word of apology to the injured parties speaks for itself, how SONOS deals with its customers, there is nothing nice to talk about, even if they treat the crap they have made every week as a recurring and improved success want to sell. So Audi doesn't come to me and take out my seats and steering wheel and I have to wait months until I can drive the car properly again. How can you still approve and celebrate something like that? Embarrassing number.

    True play doesn’t work for me on both systems, iPhone 13 or 12 and iPad Air 13 , all of them stuck on the turn to 180 degrees and then stuck and can’t press the button to continue…

    You don’t know software releases apparently. Android and Apple development are seen as two completely different products for apps. Having them the same number is beyond stupid. Different bugs. Different releases. You want continual updates not just one big one

    After spending a lot of time building playlists in the previous app, I can no longer add new tracks to playlists since the "upgrade". Is there a way to do this?

    This is my issue as well. I have an Atmos playlist with songs from Apple and Amazon. I have used the desktop app to add songs since May 7, but it is a tedious process. I want this fixed soon.

    I can’t even consider a Sonos product at this point. I have been a Sonos customer for nearly 20 years and despite being a strong proponent of Sonos early on am now warning others to avoid their products. The new app is just horrible and every time I go to use my system I am reminded of how little faith I have in the company now. They’re an MBA case study in destroying brand loyalty.

    Seriously I'm telling the transfusion that companies are just trying to rip people off they literally have convinced you only need one speaker which is false you have to have a pair because it's that much better even if it's $100 Bluetooth speaker if you can pair them in a stereo pair get an extra one

    Dear Peter. I have also bought a arc 7.1 system a month ago. Nothing is working. The app is a mess. Update is needed but nothing happens. In contact with sonos support, they can’t solve the problem. I’m on escalation ladder 3. So i’m the first who should be helped. 1 week ago and no reaction from Sonos. I’m really irritated. How long dies it take to make a working app?? Are they on holiday?? 😡

    Peter Pee, I really like your channel. I don't care about the heaphones. I like my Sonos Hometheater systems. I absolutly hate this new app, particularly the adds and forcing me to update so often WTF. I have payed premiun mony for Sonos product to be now anoyed by f* ads. Sonos, leave alone with the f* ads. Ads have its place with free things but Sonos are not cheap speakers.

    I bought 2x Roam 2 years ago. They sound Greta whe set up but are a complete pita when you take them on hols or elsewhere away from your own wifi. Factory reset and set up again. Most frustrating
