Enjoy the journey each day on a Southern Homestead. We are 30 miles north of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and enjoy a year round growing season that includes our greenhouses. We use old fashioned row cropping, permaculture, hugelkulture, raised beds, containers, vertical planters, and simple foraging from our surrounding to supply our homestead with food. We have added an off grid cabin to relax in and an outdoor canning kitchen to preserve our produce.
Join us LIVE on KZread every Saturday Night at 8 pm Central. There is a chat where you can ask us questions in real time.

Great video.
Who do they think they are? That’s censorship!
Thanks for the tip, I never catch this live, but I do watch all you videos.....The Tip darn I had not heard.
Whew that’s good!! Good food for thought! ❤
I've been using horse manure for 18 years and never had any problems.
Had a loquat tree that I grew for 8 years. Never produced even one fruit. I have mulberry also and it produces just these very small red berries that turn purple/black but never really enough to get before the animals. In zone 7 A/B area so go figure. Hundred miles south they both do fine. Go figure right.
If you want something to work, buy older American made products 😂😆
Can someone repeat where the Lemon Curd canning video can be found??
I'm going to hot water bath the spaghetti squash. Maybe cook it raw? Or just barely cooked. I might try dehydrating them, also. If ya'll want a fun "BALL" book look for a 1945! Yeah... last chapter is "a bit of the unusual " ! It's great!!
Hi Wanda. Your sweet potatoes are doing so well and nice looking Okra too. Wonder why the other Okra isn't doing anything much. Oh those grapes are going to be so delicious and yes gotta taste test 😀 Beautiful looking pears. Thanks for sharing. Many blessings to you and Danny 💗
Thank you for posting this. I missed the live for something. I look forward to Saturday nights for learning something from each of you, I love the prayers for others and making us aware of individuals to pray for. Thank you.
I planted 5 prime-ARK Freedom blackberry bushes in spring 2022. They were 6 inches tall. Now they are over 8ft tall and I pick over a quart of huge blackberries everyday.
The only plant that helps keep bugs and worms off my tomato plants is onions
Could you have a bad nematode infestation in that part of the bed?
Thank you so much Danny & Wanda. You two are the nicest people. Yes the buffering could be because of what you are saying :)
Hello from NC
Thank y'all for another great visit! Xo
I hate that I missed the live. I feel like I'm always missing something! I know you had a wonderful night, because we always do! So happy to hear all the great updates about Buddy!

Where can we find out which parallel we are in?
I remover when I was a kid mom would send me and my brother out to gather the okra. We got tired of it so we decided to cut the leaves off to kill the plants, little did we know we only made it produce more.

good evening mr danny and ms wanda 🤗 missed the livestream but listening to the replay. ive had issues with seed germination in my containers this year (southern california, zone10b). i checked soil, amendements, fertilizers, seeds, etc. today i added a filter to my garden spicket and hope it helps resolve any city water issues. thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. i watch as many of your videos as i can and give a thumbs up, even if i don't comment. enjoy your weekend.
We have had 39 inches of rain since April 1st, here in south central Texas.. but I think it’s better than being in a drought
In Oregon we see it every day
YOUz opened up talking about monkey business and closed it off with the weather monkey business. Hahaha. Matthew 16:2-3 But He replied to them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?
Hi Danny and Wanda. We watch y’all every Saturday night on our tv. I can’t chat on the tv but just wanted y’all to know we watch and love y’all! Blessing always xoxo
Sorry I slept through it. But is still enjoyable listening after. Hope you two have a great week. Take care and try to stay cool !!!!
Hi guy's, we're late tonight. We're just finishing working at 11:20. It's been a long day. Time to unwind with you guy's . God bless you guy's ❤️
Hey everyone. I can't sleep so I'm here now.
Hello from Kentucky! ❤
Danny I have a fig tree I live in Kentucky . The leaves are turning yellow with brown spots. I didn’t put it in the ground . What does it need ?
"Nitrogen is essential to healthy cell growth and division in plants. Without it, chloroplasts (the tiny cell structures that make your plant green) can't provide enough nutrients and energy to your fig. Leaves turning yellow or yellow-green when environmental factors are normal may indicate a deficiency in nitrogen. Yearly fertilization of figs should quickly cure the problem, but don't expect your fig tree's yellow leaves to turn green again. Those leaves must fall and be replaced by new, healthy green ones."
Hit it with triple 10 or triple 13 fertilizer and epsom salt. Water them and well and hopefully you'll see a change in about a week or so. When you water the plant remember low speed for a long time to make sure the water gets down through the soil and not just on the top.
Shalom.
/well, there is a great raised bed, watering and the high tunnel. So now there is either PH issue, nematodes, or soil microbes that are affecting the troubled plants. The University of Georgia has this advice: Since okra is very susceptible to damage by nematodes, follow a crop rotation, using such crops as grasses and small grains, which prevent a buildup of nematode populations. Okra should not follow vine crops, such as squash and sweet potatoes. So I would bet there was something growing in that row last winter the okra doesn't like. Now, also, if you look at Jadam system of growing, he does not like rotating crops. He believes Soil microbes condition the dirt to enhance the growth of the plant we put in year after year. I would suggest mixing up some Jadam Microbial Solution (JMS) and some Jadam Liquid Fertilizer, and spraying the ground around the plants 3x a week with a diluted mixture. I say this from my own experience here. It will keep the plants alive long enough for them to get on to the next step.
Late but here!!!!
I like Monkeywerx, but he does seem to ignore natural cycles. I've brought that up on his Patreon channel, but it gets ignored by everyone over there. Cloud seeding and chemtrails are the big push. That is real, but so are natural cycles too. Every bad weather event isn't manmade, but that seems to be the push there. I promote David DuByne there, but again, crickets.
When you mess with Mother Nature because of cloud seeding, Mother Nature will fight back, and it will be hell on Earth because of their nonsense.
Howdy from. Southern indiana
If the only difference between the two of them is what was planted last year, i would look into that.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Awesome 👏🏽
