I know I'm only one person. But your porch time talks have given me much guidance over the years. Thank you! After years of "be still", I realized it only gets to end when I choose to be obedient! Bought a Bible, started reading last month! About half way thru now. I had no idea how many questions it would answer and how much it would reveal about who I am and the choices I unknowingly made that got me where I am. Thanks for the encouraging words!

At 2 1/2 years old, my grandson impressed me so much while I was babysitting. we were each having a bowl of soup. Because he was having some difficulty managing the soup on his spoon, I reached over my bowl to assist him a little. In doing so, my bulky sweatshirt sleeve dipped into my own soup. I made a fuss about what I did in a jokingly way.....he looked at me and said in the sweetest voice "that's ok grandma Sue." Good signs that he will have compassion for others. Also proud of his parents who have set the example.

Anytime I plant early, frost gets them in central Alabama. Iodine? Fluoride in water displaces iodine at its receptor. Iodine is critical in all cell function in the body. The salt thing is so true. As a pharmacist, I see so many with low sodium. Why not allow pt to salt their food instead of eating tasteless food. I salt my coffee with Redmond’s salt and use real butter in my coffee.

This is so incredibly ironic because those are the same exact words I prayed this past Saturday. And got the same answer. Obedience. Keep planting the seeds in people. Also, about the salt: at 4 years old I spent an entire week in the hospital and had scans on my head. They diagnosed me with a specific type of migraine and I took medicine daily for it for many years but still suffered. About 2 1/2years ago I started using Redmond real salt and became obsessed with the stuff. Also about 2 1/2 years ago the migraines began to diminish. Then I read about salt therapy protocols for migraines and began to understand that God had been leading me in the healing of these migraines. I began to praise God for it and listen to my body. No more migraines now for over a year. Please pray for me, the iron supplements, changing my diet and using cast iron are not helping much. I've been avoiding having the surgery but Wandas colonoscopy experience has shown me what a difference it could make. My hemoglobin was also a 5 at the beginning of September and it will be checked again in the next week or so. Regenerative doctor is trying to keep me out of the hospital. Thank you to both Danny and Wanda for being so bold in sharing your faith

I drink only water. A soda or sweet tea maybe once a month. I make a sole of salt that I add to my water. Depending on my work level and the level of perspiration I add salt to at least one 32 ounce bottle. I mix a pint of filtered water with 5 Tablespoons of Redmond salt. Let it sit for 12-24 hours. Shake it occasionally to blend it. Then I add 1 teaspoon to 32 ounces of water daily. If I need more because ive been sweating then I add it in more than 1 bottle. By doing this I quit eating salty snacks and i quit drinking gatorade type drinks. With this I lost 25 pounds in 3 months. Wow do I feel better. Low sodium is a very serious condition that people need to research. You can test it on yourself. Try it for a week and notice the results. Youll figure out real quick if you are low on sodium. This also helps you stay hydrated because the salt helps your body absorb the water and not flush it. God bless you Danny and Wanda.

This was laid on your heart for me. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and He paid for my sins on Calvary. Unfortunately I’m in the Education rat race and I am an extinct teacher in today’s society. I believe spare the rod spoil the child and if I need to give silent lunch or a detention for disciplinary reasons I have done that. In today’s education environment that is not what society wants. I’m glad you worded toward the end of porch time it’s not my responsibility to discipline theses students, it is their parents responsibility. My responsibility it to show them Jesus through my actions. Your message today I feel like God laid it on your heart to give me peace regarding my efforts to have students act as people should. This is my 35th year teaching and I am to the point I want out of this rat race. I would like two more years, but I am struggling due to the lack of accountability and responsibility I’m allowed to hold students accountable. Pray for me that I can show Jesus to the students I come in contact with as I myself pray I can last two more teaching years. Thank you for Porch Time. I always look forward to Porch Time on Tuesdays when I get home. You are definitely a blessing to me and I share your channel with others. Again thank you as a brother in Christ I love your time you spend to teach myself and others.

Age and this sinful world has broken me down to a point, but I plan to never stop gardening in one way or another. It blesses me and others that I am able to share my bounty with. I had a leg injury last summer and missed a whole year of gardening. Hopefully, as I continue to heal, I plan to garden smarter this year by using a raised bed or two and by growing vertically when possible.

Your message resonates with me. I have spent most of my lifetime asking the Lord that same question, "Lord what do you expect from me?" Friends and family have told me over and over again, "Ralph, you have more talent than any one person should have and you still want to know what the Lord's will is for your life!" Well, here I am at age 73 and I have never been able to just nail it down to any particular thing, but it's almost as if God's reply to me is just a simple, silent, nodding of His head.

I'm 37, in perfect health, and had a baby last year. When I ask them why, they don't even know other than saying it's bad for me. I absolutely won't listen and Redmonds Real Salt is my favorite. I also salt my 10 month old baby's food because she needs salt too!!

Hi Danny and Wanda. The Lord’s providence is always at work in our lives. Here is an example. A few years ago I was delayed on the road when a sandhill cranes crossed the road in front of me. Not a huge delay, probably no more than 10 or 20 seconds. But as I continued my drive home a man driving very fast was across on my side of the road came around the curve. Had I not been delayed then I might have been hit head on. My point to this has to do with your DannyCorn replanting. The Lord may have a reason that we do not know yet and that is why your planter malfunctioned. At the end odds the season and you are harvesting think back and consider if the two weeks had an impact. One of my favorite verses is Romans 8:28. ❤

Sounds so beautiful with everything getting green. I am hopeful now the Danny Corn will take off and being a bit behind I pray it won't delay anything. I truly understand this year is so important to grow food. Situational awareness is very important and I hesitate to go too many places these days and don't visit the grocery store unless would absolutely have to have something I can grow or store. And that is seldom if at all. Absence of nutrients equals being sick and not immune to many things and that equals destruction of us as humans and controllable. You have a wise dr and brother in Christ as well as wise rabbi. I hear you Danny. I want what He wants for my life and don't want to be stuck in a cycle that goes nowhere and doesn't necessarily do what He wants. Thanks for sharing the verse in Samuel. Obedient - it is one of the key words like humble.. i gave the sermon Sunday on Grace. I dont care how many years, you have read the words and versus. there are times epiphany strikes... in all of Paul's letters, grace THROUGH faith was his mantra. Pual didnt get it either until walking to Damascus. Christ was the example given to teach ALL in simplicity, God's grace is given by our faith, blind trust, that He will fulfill all. Follow the rule book and be happy. May all have a wonderful St. Pat's day.

On the Iron just add lots of spinach to your food. I like smoothies and so I will add lots of spinach to my smoothies and that will give you lots of iron. Spinach is also good in eggs as well like an omelette or scrambled eggs!!!

Raw spinach, like many other greens, is high in oxalates, which bind and prevent the absorption of some nutrients. Cooking reduces the amount. Wisdom and moderation are key to nutrition.

Yet another wonderful PT. I look forward to listening to Mr Danny in any subject he tells me, but oh my, his Biblical messages oftentimes gives me a better understanding and also another way of thinking about an array of things Danny presents to me. Obedience to God, even more so than sacrifice. Is what God wants from me. I am committed to keeping that truth in my life, no matter how long it takes for me. Mr Danny, thank you for every word to us in this Porch Time.

Utube movie. The war time kitchen and garden. A good watch. Looong tho. But talks about ww2 and how rations in this particular part of the world affected the people. Also how gardens were encouraged, but also how having chickens affected what you couldn't get with your ration papers if you had chickens. Its an interesting watch.

You can not have obedience without love. All the laws hang on love. A child that loves their parent will be obedient(this applies to our heavenly Father as well as our earthly parents). Not all of those obedient will do it out of love. If you love God you will seek to be obedient to God. If you love your neighbor as yourself you will be helpful to your neighbor and obedient to God to fullfil the command of the Lord. There are 3 requirements the Lord rquires of us: love, forgiveness, and charity. With these 3 things we can make the world a better place than when we got here. We are the caretakers of this place that God gave us.

Excellent morning conversation, as usual! Things I've learned . . . the thyroid must have iodine to synthesize the hormones our bodies need, which regulate ALL our functions. Fluoride interferes with our absorption of iodine, so if your water source contains it, you might consider alternatives. The iodized salt won't provide enough - 2 drops of Lugel's Iodine daily is suggested for most people. And I love my Redmond's salt - until I tried it, I had no idea there could be such a difference in the way salt tastes!

My Phillippino husband just said, "what happened to that guy that we used to listen to that talked about about his tractor, and stuff growing here and stuff growing there..." I was like "huh?" Lol He said " you know...that old guy who lives up north and planted sugar cane." 😂 I said"oh! Danny! He lives down south!" I looked you up and here i am!
