I completely agree about stay-cations. I'm currently on mine this week. I have so much work to do on our homestead that leaving hasn't crossed my mind. I had $$ to go somewhere, instead I bought my husband a tractor. He's already putting it to work. My freeze dryer will be here Friday. What a blessing to better our homestead, making life easier at our age is important

Dearst Danny, I get it. My parent's passed 6 days apart nearly a year ago. I go 900 archers and 25%of their business. My brother got 75% of the business. There is still a loan on that business of 303,000, and because neither of our names are on the loan, the bank has given us 3 months to pay it off before they foreclose. We are at 7 weeks now. We are waiting on God's time and God's will. I won't put up my land for the business. Please pray for me. Stay safe, and God bless you, my friend 🌱🐓🐐🐖🐄🌱 Lisa

DANNY: I’m tearing up as I write this to you and Ms Wanda. You’re words, the love you said them with, I felt like directing to me, has touched my very core in a way I can’t explain except I do know it came from God, through you. How can I possibly say in words to you just how grateful I am to you allowing our Father to be His messenger. I saw you with the light of Gods love shining through I simply can’t put into words what I feel and inherently know. Very humbly I thank first my Father, then to you, precious Danny.

I have a friend in town that has a 2/3 acre back yard... they ringed a large garden wrapped in electric poultry netting with an 8 foot wide yard tractor path that drug around a meat chicken tractor. Beyond the tractor path along the edges of the property line they situated storage buildings for feed and supplies, a duck pond and shelter in one corner, rabbit hutches, a goat shed separated does from buck's on the long back fence, they had coops for quail, layer hens and geese. They even stuck fruit trees between each area that they harvested fruit for themselves, and pollard cuttings for the goats. The most efficient design I've ever seen.

Good Mornin DSH Danny and Wanda 🌄. I agree Danny, life's about choices, up to us to make the right choices. I got pregnant and married at the age of sixteen and God blessed me with a boy and five years later a girl. That wasn't my plan, but believe it was God's plan. It wasn't easy, but know that Our Heavenly Father was with us and gave us what we needed. The children are grown and living their lives now. I am grateful for God blessing me to be able to help and bless others. I choose to be debt free, and I don't have much, but thankful for what I have been blessed with by Our Heavenly Father. I choose to live life one day at a time. I believe everyone is beautiful until you show me that you are not. Porch Time is a great choice to start the day. Thank you Beautiful People. Stay safe. God Bless Y'all ❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻

Good Morning Danny, when folks ask why God permits wickedness, I steer them to the book of Job. God permitted Satan to test Job as to his integrety and faithfullness. God himself did not cause Job's suffering, but He permitted Satan to test Job in order to prove Satan a liar. Satan even had the audacity to try to trick God into doing those things to Job himself. That's why God told Satan that everything he, Job, has is in your hands, except his very life. We can be gratefull that Job passed that test, and was recorded in that book of truth for our benefit. Thank you Danny and Wanda for allowing an exchange of thoughts and ideas on this platform, whether it be physical or spiritual. Much love to all.

We would have had 10 acres on higher ground instead of 2 on lower wet ground that is too wet now to grow anything on. But we container plant and we’ve been blessed that our house is higher. And God has blessed abundantly Blessing s to you brother Danny s and sister Wanda and All watching ♥️🙏

Good morning. The more flowers and berries that grow here, the more varieties of birds that show up. Last 2 summers I heard bobwhite. Back then it would be early evening almost dusk, out by the garden. ❤

I am happy I made the decision to stay at camp and make it "home" up in the mountains the weather and elements + location sometimes is tough but I would never move back close to any city. I feel like although it's been tough at times for me here God is the one that brought me here and has given me the tools and skills ( learning alot as I go) that I need to survive. I feel closer to him and at peace here in nature. It has opened my eyes more than ever, thank you for this video cause your message is profound ~

Occasionally the wild hogs come up into our back field but they don't usually cross closer to our chicken coup to and gardens than our dry stock tank. Every morning and every evening i take my dog out on leash and she puts her scent around the perimeter. I don't know if that's what keeps them out but that's what I think.

We have staycations. Travel was for visiting out of town family. We have so much enjoyment living on our property, why pack up, travel, get home, unpack, go back to work until the next trip. We take time everyday to sit and watch the chickens, or watch the bees in the flowers. On a snowy day, I went around to look at animal footprints in the snow, amazed at how many there were. When Covid hit, we were perfectly content to stay home as it was our normal. Praise God every day, and be thankful the place He gave you to occupy on this earth.

In today’s world I am happy to stay home. Retired now the finances are much thinner. I have more time to grow my gardens and do more. Even if I had the finances to travel I would not now. Hi Danny. Wow that is some green and pretty grass. I''m so glad your watching out for those turkeys and hope can keep predators down to let them procreate. I'm so very thankful the Lord has enabled you to grow wonderful food in your garden. The Lord doesn't necessarily make bad things happen but He does allow us to make our own choices. To be with Him when He takes us home is glorious to look forward to no matter how it comes about. Thank you for being so honest about mistakes you've made and for sharing the wisdom you've gained with us. I appreciate you don't follow protocol and walk to the beat of a different drummer--the Lord's will is most important to you. You make right choices for you and Wanda. I am enjoying each day given me and that is so much more beneficial and enjoyable than going somewhere else for a vacation. Home here is where my heart is and if I need a break I can find ways to do so right here. Blessing others is so very rewarding and focusing on others. I don't have to have a lot to do so. It's just little things and contributing to other's lives. I appreciate what you and Wanda share and learn so much as I make choices and go forward. I enjoy what you share on Pecan Grove and look forward to watching more videos over there. So much your doing is a blessing for both of you and for those of us following you in the community too. Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom and understanding 😀

I do sometimes chose to be irresponsible, and not carry a weapon .. but never under circumstances where there is no other person that I could trust to be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of myself and others around me. From my reading, the creator made Man for a purpose .. and in the interest of serving that purpose, my God is a god of the living, and not the dead - the dead cannot perform their created purpose on Earth! We often hear someone say "I had no choice" .. but that is never the case. Even at gunpoint, when told that one *must* do something, or _else,_ one always has more than the limited choices that _someone else_ is presenting them with. The power of creation was given to man by the creator of the universe, and it is not something that one can simply 'turn off'. it is *always* on, and the way it works begins with the imagination. Now, if the only thing your imagination can conceive of is the choices that other people make and put before you, you are truly in peril .. because one should always be able to imagine different choices. Courage is required to create and chose to act upon one's *own* choices .. but that is what freedom _is._

I am less frustrated if I look at things as a matter of choices. I WANTED to live remotely, but for various reasons I CHOSE to live near a city where there were jobs and health care. I CHOSE having care for my sick kids over starting a farm. And instead I work my yard, preserve what we cannot eat fresh, and might choose to buy another lot. Yes. Choices.

God gave us a free will. God will not interfere . One must ask God for help with decisions before He will help. If you make choices did you ask God for his wisdom for your life or did you go it alone? I have made some bad choices in my life and did not include God and had some bad consequences. God has a path for us all. Its up to you as to which way you are going to go. Whether you believe in God or not its YOUR CHOICE.

I was asked to trap a nutria from a condo association pond. I set out four Havahart box traps. In six weeks i caught five raccoons, 12 opposums, five nutria, 10 turtles and a duck. This was in the suburbs. Dry catfood was a favorite bait for raccoons and opposums. Canned whole corn was good for nutria. Trapping is all about self defence for a homesteader. Thanks for all you do.

I was like you bro. Danny...had all my credits in my Jr. year of highschool to graduate, and also had a wonderful opportunity given by a physician I worked for as a nurse to be put through P.A. school, and I turned it down and have regretted it. We are for the most part where we are in life due to our own choices. The most important choice is to follow and obey God. Thank you for a great Porch Time, thank you sister Wanda too. 😊❤

You're very right. Life is all about choices. Good, bad or indifferent, we still have to make a choice. The most important one being whether or not to have a relationship with the Lord.

Up on the ridge top, there is a relatively flat area where an old hunting stand is up in the trees. When I can get to it, I want to put in food plots for the wildlife, but I am letting only one person hunt one deer on all of my 100+ acres because I have most of it as a wildlife refuge. I plan to put at least one walipini up there, but not in the food plots.

I haven't been on a vacation since I was 13 & it was to tell my grandma goodbye forever 😢. I do plan on going fishing this year, more than once or twice. I am hoping 🤞 & praying 🙏 that I can figure out a way to lease a neighbor's field (small section at least) to grow hay, but with no extra income to pay anything or a way to buy the seed (& plant it right), I hesitate to approach him. But he's an elderly gentleman, so it's not like I have 20 yrs to figure it out. But I know it'll be a good yr. 🙏

When I first moved to Nebraska, there were a lot of pheasants around; now, I rarely see one. I've been told that the wild turkeys are hard on the smaller birds . . . I also used to see grouse, and haven't seen one in a long time. However, even the wild turkeys don't seem to be as abundant as they were a few short years ago!
