Ну и терпение у Вас! Мне почему то всегда хочется дать по морде крутому дизайнеру, который мажет старинную мебель белой краской: "ах, прованс"! А потом кому то этот "провансаль" смывать...

I really enjoy your work. Such amazing results. I know very little about woodworking and furniture repair, but one thing has confused me. How can you use so many staples? My thinking is that after using so many staples they would reduce the strength and longevity of the wood by creating small splits or gaps that would weaken over time.

The plywood substitute seat, I can forgive. It's hard to find anyone who does caning, and certainly most of us can't do it ourselves. But who looks at a 200 year old antique and says, "I know! Let's smear on some white paint!" It makes me shudder.

Beautiful work and I’m afraid that it’s a dying art. I really appreciate artisans for the restoration of beautiful old pieces. Too many are lost in this world of tossing out everything and getting bright shiny new things that are slapped together and only last a few years before they are tossed aside. ❤

It went from a cute little stool with a sloppy paint job to an elegant piece that belongs in a parlor. I love it when you need to do wood grain painting as part of a restoration
