I really enjoy watching a restoration channel where the furniture is truly restored, rather than one where it's chopped up and painted until it's unrecognizable.
The client got back a masterpiece. The cabinet said, thank you.
That’s a restoration worthy of that name, not “flipping”. You are an artist.
I am so glad this client came to you and this piece fell in to your hands. I hate to see some absolutely beautiful prices of furniture falling in to the hands of these quick flip, “throw a can of paint and smattering of glitz brigade” who have no idea of the antiques they are wrecking. But you, my friend, really are a joy to watch, skill, judgement, patience and an true artists. Thank you

nothing enrages me more than going to a garage sale and seeing a beautiful oak dresser painted turquoise blue with a fake distressed sanding...

I make this sort of comment a lot on channels that wreck lovely items of furniture and almost universally I get hate from other commenters saying I have no clue what I'm talking about - despite my stating I'm a time served cabinetmaker. Too many flippers just want the easy quick fixes not actually caring about the longevity of the fixes they do, like using contact cement for veneering! - a disgusting practise that should be outlawed.

I have purchased a few pieces from the 50s-70s and most of them were from the "throw a can of paint and smattering of glitz brigade" crowd. I've been slowly working on removing all of that and trying to restore them.

I completely agree, im a furniture restorer myself and yes i hold my hand up to painting a few pieces but in my defence they was not antiques not that pretty and the paint was tasteful. However, i fell in love with french polishing and traditional finishes to the point that now i dont go near paint. But im with you; i hate, absolutely hate it when people just wack paint onto a beautiful piece of furniture and call it “beautiful”

And have the nerve to call painting it restoration. I just want to slap them.
You are a magician with wood and an alchemist in creating new pieces to replace lost ones!
Watching this was like ... I'm not sure how to describe it. So satisfying? Not the right words, but watching you bring the grain alive was magic. I always love your videos, but this one was definitely magic. You could feel the love and pride you felt regarding this piece. I deal with several mental health issues, and this video was soothing to watch.
It was never boring. It just needed to be loved again.
Маэстро, браво!!! Какие тут ещё можно слова сказать, если есть глаза, которые испытывают блаженство, глядя на такую работу! Обожаю ваши видео, не пропускаю ни одного шедевра!
I could watch your videos all day if my wife would let me. Every little flaw and scratch is fixed to perfection.
Ahti- you're a magician. This is gorgeous. The curved veneer jig and the faux bakelite knobs! Brilliant!
My gosh but you are marvellous to watch. Another PERFECT restoration and custom made bakeolite knobs to boot. Love watching a Master at Work.
I'm so glad that your client could see the potential in this cabinet and that he found the right man to bring it back to life!
You’ve got to be kidding?!! You molded and made those door pulls? At the start of this video, I hardly thought this little, inexpensive piece was worth your time and talent. But I was mesmerized with the veneer repairs and hardware reconstruction. You truly did make a silk purse from a sow’s ear! Thank you for sharing your talents with us.

I didn't read the description before watching. My initial thought was, "Why would anyone spend money to restore a cheap old TV stand?" A: because it isn't paper-coated particle board trash.
i am so happy every time you do the painted wood grain 😍 its such a step beyond what many other restoration channels will do. a craftsman AND an artist!
I’m so happy to watch you work. I know you’re not going to do anything that would change a piece drastically, only restore what’s there and bring it to life again. That’s so different from many people these days who are painting everything or cutting it in half and making something else entirely. Thank you!❤️🤗🐝
У меня просто нет слов. Какое внимание к каждой детали. Таких как Вы нужно в достояние ЮНЕСКО вносить. Настоящий мастер своего дела! Благослови Вас Бог!
When you added the dark grain to the new veneer - I was blown away. Such attention to detail. Outstanding result
Holy cow!! Is there anything you can’t do?!!😍❤️
Классная работа, шикарная реставрации. Вы мастер профи. Спасибо, лайк однозначно.
You now owe me a weekend. I've been watching your videos non-stop 😅 Riga watching You.
WoW! Who would have thought it could be so NICE!?
Thank you for another great restoration been looking forward to it. I know it takes a very long time to edit these programs but I appreciate your efforts and your love for the craft. You're awesome
Truly you have a gift. You are gifted to see the original intent, and the potential of a piece. Stupendous restoration! Your gift is from experience, hard work and perseverance. We all need these qualities in our lives today. Your gift is from the Lord.

Привет, ни в сказке сказать, ни пером описать! Волшебник!😊
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
I don't have enough superlatives in my vocabulary to describe this restoration! The Bakelite knob replacement took this piece to another level entirely. Thank you!
What a magnificent job, had me glued to the screen, I love watching talented artists bring these old cupboards back to their full glory. Then to impress me further you made new knobs, unbelievable!
An absolutely stunning restoration!

Quedó fantástico me alegro porque es un mueble muy bonito
What can I say that's already been said. it is the WOW factor, even to making the new handles.
WOW you are amazing with your skill and knowledge. Such attention to the details too. You really made new knobs and fixed the spring loaded ball to hold the door. WOW!!! This is a beautiful piece of antique furniture. Love the oak and the way the veneer shows too. Have a wonderful day
Beautifully sympathetic restoration of a period piece. A true craftsman at work.
My only wish is I could see new restorations more often! This is #1 restoration channel and by far.
Nice job! I’m a decorative art restorer from Philadelphia, USA. I like the representation with the ‘Philadelphia Cream Cheese’ container. 😂

I love restoration! I get so upset when beautiful wood is just painted. Thank you for staying true to the beauty!!
Wow! Thank you, I really needed this today. Yesterday was a horrible day at work (we had to do an active shooter plan...for a retirement community >.
A new life for good old cabinet😌 Amasing look!
You are just amazing. So much talent…❤
The result is a masterpiece
So fabulous! Your client must be thrilled 😊
Another triumph! One thing I never seem able to do is match stain. Always get it wrong! Keep making these wonderful videos! Thank you.
The best restoration of a cabinet on KZread. Ahti, you are truly a master of your craft. I humbly thank you that you show us your work. Best wishes, Erik.
It's a joy watching a master at his work. I am amazed every time I see you do your restorations. Thank you.
Love the veneer re-air and making the knobs👍
Just wow. That veneer repair is a masterpiece.
I'm in awe! You made pulls! Wow! That did turn out great!
I'd have thrown this away. Look what I have missed. Educational and hypnotic.
Amazing !!! You can restore everything ! Congratulations !!
Love your vids man :)
Красота!!!!!!🥰
All of this amazed me, though the putting back of everything just makes it mesmerizing. I, too, can take it apart. Now put it back together? Nope, no, nada, zilch. Thanks for your work and attention to detail; in silence, with funny "typed over".
Definitely the best furniture restorer on youtube. I love your vids !!!
Beautiful! Being so meticulous is the sign of a true master, kudos to you!
Absolutely gorgeous! I love watching you work your magic. Glad to see no paint, just the beautiful wood coming through.
6:16. I never knew flexible metal rulers like that even existed! Beautiful job!

Yeah, painting walnut wood, would be painful to watch.
Imagination and experience make your work seem like magic. Well done.
I know you're really good but when you start matching colours I can see that you're truly a master!
Сколько смотрю ваши работы и нравятся они .Вы мастер своего дела.Как будто не людям,а себе делаете.Это очень хорошо.Так и надо все красиво делать.Молодец МАСТЕР своего дела!
You are amazing. My friend has a desk bought by her parents in 1941 (or 42). I told her that I know the perfect person to restore it, but that he's in Estonia. I watched somebody else the other day take on a desk. She didn't restore, she renovated. I was very disappointed when she didn't take the piece completely apart. To say nothing of the painting/distressing of the wood. I had to watch one of your videos to cleanse my palette.
Can't believe you made those knobs! WOW just WOW!
I am so impressed by how you this little gem back to life. I would have been so sad to see that little piece, with such beautiful veneer and be unable to do the masterful and magical restoration you did.
You are not a furniture restorer. You are a furniture artist. Always amazing and astounding us. Bravo!

You are a restoration magician 😊 this piece is absolutely stunning !
Thank you for giving this piece the expert restoration it deserved. I'm sure your client will be thrilled!
И как всегда любуюсь замечательной работой!
Another fine piece of work by Estonia's 'most famous' u tuber. Lovely to watch.
W O W !!!!! Ahti, you are amazing! Your detailing is exceptional! Watching you work is a pure joy. You are definitely an ARTISTE!!!
Marvellous restoration Ahti. The veneer repair was a finishing class for aspiring cabinet makers. Brilliant reproduction of the Art Deco door knobs and far more durable than Bakelite. Until I started watching your channel, I've never seen Art Deco furniture looking its best. Only ever seeing it in second hand furniture dealers and quite dilapidated. As always, I look forward to watching your latest project. Cheers.
Wow,wow, wow! When I first saw it, I thought, I don’t even know where you would start. You did an incredible job.
beautiful! well done restoration!
the manual vacuum seal container to remove bubbles is genius!
That furniture looks brand new. If I saw it at a shop I'd never realize it's been restored. That's your magic. Thank you for another great video!
In my next life, I want to be a furniture “restorater” and be your apprentice!! Wonderful work!!
I could watch your videos all day and not get bored. Another gorgeous restoration. My personal favorite style to work on. Great pro tips on how to work with those rounded pieces. Thanks as always for sharing your talent with us.
Hope your client appreciated the attention to detail that you bring to all your hard work. Beautiful
I love art deco and that is amazing, beautiful.
Как всегда получилось замечательно. Вот эта скругленная отделка выдаёт сразу довоенную мебель, такие остатки декора в стиле арт-деко...
Brilliant work! Your attention to detail - reproducing Bakelite knobs! - makes you a master restorer. Thanks for posting this video.
Your title is correct! I love that you detail the bull on the pieces. You are a clever & talented man! ( and sometimes funny too!)
OMG, that was BRILLIANT ! 🙂
Wow. Just, wow.
I would love to see a furniture object with full shellac and clear coat, but with all repaired bits not stained, so it will show the scars of long life, while still looking whole.
Tricks of the trade, you've got the best! The veneer jig was amazing. And the bakelite reproductions--just WOW! It's more beautiful now than when it came out of the factory.

Wow and holy cow I cannot believe it's the same cabinet! Terrific work!
Brilliant, another beautiful piece saved from the rubbish tip.
I had binned it. After artisan restoration it looks beautiful. Shellac and color dye made a miracle. Tks for uploading.

I did toss an entire bedroom set, complete with vanity (with mirror) and chest. It, too, was waterfall style with the grounded top edge and bookmarked veneers going down the from and metal art deco hardware with enameling. It had a few chips in the veneer here and there and a few water rings on the tops. My husband had it when we married and I never got around to trying to make it better and finally dragged it to the curb and hung a sign on it saying it was free.
Another amazing restoration!
Beautiful art deco cabinet gets beautiful restoration. And it turned out simply stunning! Always a pleasure to watch you do such fine work. Thanks.
Stunning restoration and magnificent burl on this piece!
You are my addiction of choice. You take the abused wrecked and awful and turn it into a shining gem once again. Stunning restoration
Loved it. As I always do. Such skills. I particularly liked themreplacement knobs.
