U should remove the db killer
Is it better to do 15 ft/lbs or 32 ft/lb ?
Hey B-Rad, do know if the process is pretty much for the same for a 2024 mt 07 ?
I did both 🤦🏻♂️. First I went pc 5 and the ots tune was ok. But everyone in the mt07 community will roast you to death telling you a flash is way way better ect. So I got talked into sending mine to 2wdw. So now I have a pc5 sitting around for no reason….
I noticed on my stock r7 that there are tons of pops and crackles on decels. Of course it is incredibly muffled and very subtle, but you can definitely hear it, especially after downshifting. The bike runs lean from factory.
Appreciate the help
My workshop changed my spark plugs at 10k last year.. feeled like scam bc yamaha manual says just at 20k. I have a MT07 2021. But it was propaply due who knows haha. Next time I will do it by myself.
Do not torque it to 32ft pound, the manual has a mistake in it, tons of people have stripped the threads using that torque value and had to replace the oil pan. 17-20ft pound is plenty of force.
Nice one Brad, appreciated.
The correctly selected map will really change the motorcycle (it is better to configure the map on the dynostand), but get ready for an increased gasoline consumption, I can’t get on the R6 below 7 liters... Although maybe I began to ride differently than in the first season... AutoTune as for me in vain spent money...
42N.m sounds a lot.....
Sadly not allowed in Germany (Europe)
Do you actually feel a power difference after doing this?
Do you change crush washer with every change or every other?
Dang, that's WITH the DB killer?? I don't even want to know how it sounds without it. Btw, that 2021 color scheme is the absolute best.
I am ordering the power commander 6 for my 2022 MT-07. I am adding a Yoshimura R77 exhaust. Installation should be the same as for your 2021, I would think. Will this unit come preprogrammed enough to overcome the factory setting for running lean?? Great video and thanks.
how do you remove the side headlight pieces? i see that it has a plastic push pin. However, something keeps it from coming off. any suggestions?
Can I buy a rear brake reservoir bracket from you? Would love to remove the passenger pegs but can’t the way that reservoir mounts. Thanks!
What bracket did you use to mount the rear brake reservoir after removing the passenger pegs?
I'm confused, are you saying you installed brand new spark plugs, then rode the bike for 100 miles and that's how they looked?
👍
Congratulations mate, very easy and clear instructions, no waffle and background music nice and quiet, I wish more videos were like this.
Great video. No wasted time.
Like how u do yur video to make sure that u show ever step at what u doing
So when you bought the Pc5, dynojet installed a mapping in the unit for you? Extra cost for that or included?? Thanks
Fuck it. I’m just gonna pay a mechanic. Too lazy to do all this shit.
Great video. Which TST kit is this one? Looking at getting a 2024 this week. Thanks
Great video which was invaluable when fitting the wiring for heated grips. Thanks!
Nice video! Have you experienced the middle piece not wanting to sit flush on the tank after having it off? Or have a tip to make it lock in again flush. The dealer told me, that's just how it is, even though it have like a 0.5 cm gap in one side and not the other. I tried everything, nothing seem to make the taps want to lock in properly again :/
Hey did you solve the issue? I have the same issue
@@RuxGaming Got the middle part replaced, then it was fine, intill I took it off, and boom after one time taking it off, it doesnt sit flush again. Horrible panel design. Unfortunantly there seem to be no other solution than replacing the part.
@@primal5435 Oh! That’s sad.. do you know the part name for the middle plastic piece?
@@RuxGaming Yea I agree..No, I got it replaced at my local Yamaha Dealer.
Had to put the vid on .5 speed and it helped alot.. got a graves kit instead but the taking apart stuff to get to what you need helped alot.. also loved the putting it back together 🤙
This video was really useful thanks!
Awesome video, very thorough and clear. Keep up the great work
You can remove the tank without draining it? I had no clue. Well time to start doing way more of my own maintenance.
Great video, thank you!
Anyone know good places to source cosmetics parts for this bike in sydney Aus 🤷♂️
just got a 2022 waiting on the title and while i wait i cant stop buying parts hahah
I do wonder sometimes why you have to dismantle half the bike just to change the plugs. On my Enfield I take out two plugs an put back two plugs, job done.. less the five minutes
I just bought a BMW G 310 GS yesterday, and while talking with the 15 year BMW Master Tech for the store he steered me away from buying one for my new bike. His words: If a rock comes up and "dings" the fin just bend them back. He sold me other stuff but not the radiator guard. Any thoughts or opinions?
Just installed an EvoTech tail delete on my 60th anniversary R7 and your video was so easy to follow! I'd still be in the garage if I was following the EvoTech instructions.
Anyone who is having a HARDTIME REMOVING the COIL PACK, I used a long nose hose plier (the ones with the clamp angled). Since the clamp is angled, it would roughly be horizontal with the coil as it clamps on the neck while the handle of the plier will be angled upward and out, I placed another tool like a screwdriver to provide the fulcrum, and press down on the handle, raising the clamp upwards. That did the trick for leverage that my hand couldn't provide. It doesn't damage the coil pack either (just don't squeeze the clamp hard).
The gas gauge is flashing and it won’t start, any reason why?
Currently run my 33k mile XSR900 with the intake mod, full exhaust, no tune, OEM replaced spark plugs, and no issues whatsoever. Just like new.
took my R7 for an ECU flash on the dyno and there is a noticeable improvement in performance - don't be lazy, get your bike flashed after a full exhaust
Did you use the power vision 3?
@@chanceschawo4617 no, all fuelings were optimised by the professional at the dyno
How about to install AFR meter. No need poll plugs. 🥸
Did you have to install the akrapovic catalytic converter too ?
What would happen if i wouldnt tune it?
Got mine on exactly as you said. Thank you. Only question is did you cut the extra part of the zip tie off?
What happen to hand tight.😂no torque spanner here
Great video! Just got myself a 22 Mt07, so this was helpful. Got yourself a new sub! 👍🏍️
looks good
