For a hold that can be easily removed, Loctite Threadlocker Blue 242 is the hero. It’s perfect for motorized and nonmotorized parts that need occasional servicing, like car parts (oil pans, water pumps, etc), or even motorized yard equipment, bicycles, furniture and much more. For parts that need a more permanent hold, like structural bolts in a home, auto suspensions and frames, or any other heavy machinery, Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 is the answer. This industrial grade threadlocker packs a stronger punch than the blue and can only be removed by heating the parts to 500F. I think I would use blue loctite over red unless you want to use heat to remove them. The red the factory used probably isn't the same stuff as the red loctite. Just a thought before you steer people in the wrong direction. Other wise good job. 🙂

I just bought a BMW G 310 GS yesterday, and while talking with the 15 year BMW Master Tech for the store he steered me away from buying one for my new bike. His words: If a rock comes up and "dings" the fin just bend them back. He sold me other stuff but not the radiator guard. Any thoughts or opinions?

I bought the same guard from Amazon and it came with x2 fat spacers and 4 bolts with 2 different sizes of length. Did yours come with those and you just didn’t use them?

I have the same radiator cover ordered but the thread they built in are busted and turn when I tried to screw the bolts in. Really disappointing

Does this one fit on the R7? The R7 radiator guard iattaches via zipties, which I don't like, I'd rather have the bolt on MT07 version on my R7

I’m not 100% certain but I have no doubt that with taking off the side plastics you would be able to mount it the same way you do in this video. A little more involved but I agree the sip ties are not ideal. I would lean on the side of it working though. Hope this helps

I’m new to the two wheel game do you recommend this bike to a new rider looked at the mt03 but don’t want to buy a bike just to sell it once I get comfortable

I would ask yourself how much experience you have on two wheels in general so both on street and off. If your saying your new to the game I assume that’s new to it all. My personal opinion is to start small. The mt07 is very forgivable however but you should also tread with caution. The bike is used by both new riders and professionals. Its a fast bike and can get you in a whole lot of trouble in a hurry. If you decide to get the mt07 start slow and learn to ride it in a low traffic area. Push your limits to get comfortable at slow speeds first in a safe area. Trust me it seems like a bunch of bs but is super important! Always stay out of people blind spots and look behind you at stops. Another thing is never trust a green light. Always look both ways regardless. I got family in the hospital from a motorcycle crash and have had several buddies go down. Experience and learning the necessary skills is tedious but can save your life. Ride safe brotha!
