    Me inscrevi no canal e maratonei oa vídeos por umas 2 horas.

    Great tips all around. However, one thing might be missing. Speed skaters seem to talk about one main difference between fitness skating and speed skating, that being "leading with the hips" and then "falling" into each stride which they call weight transfer. What do you make of this? I think it might be one important concept to be able to reach those crazy high speeds without wasting much too much energy, I'm still trying to get the hang of it.

  • @NikZvi
    @NikZvi29 күн бұрын

    Well, that's a good point, but also technically difficult. I'm not yet that good at it to give a proper explanation.. It is more advanced techniques, and since I'm not the speed skater, I really think that these are things that should be explained by speed skaters. You probably know the names and channels here on KZread. :)

    Hi Hi Nik, I personally made several mistakes when starting out on inline skates. The first was that you have to train on a flat surface. I started on a bit of an incline with an elevation. Another was an inappropriate push. When a person learns it wrong, he does it wrong for a long time. My next misstep was speed. Seeing your videos when you're going fast is very motivating, but I've learned that I need to start riding slower. Mainly because of the surfaces. Driving in our small town, where in front of every apartment building there are different tiles, asphalt, concrete, pieces of branches, rockeries, is completely different than, for example, on the cyclo asphalt in Germany, or even in your place in Saint Petersburg. Also the fact that if someone wants to take this sport seriously, they shouldn't start with soft boot skates. That's how I started. A mistake. I should have gone to buy more expensive hard boot skates right away. About 150 euros and more. Protectors are also important. Seeing how you and others like you are doing without protectors can mislead beginners. Even if a person has protectors and falls, he can also fall on his knuckles. Previous mistakes cost me both broken wrists. That's why there are so many new skates for sale in bazaars. Allegedly due to lack of time or the size of the shoe 😄😄😄.. Nevertheless, I continue on, watching your videos, but if I could turn back time like this: 1. Hard boot 2. Protectors 3. Push training. 4. Power stop. 5 jumps 6. Back skating... And only then increasing the speed. I wish you good health. Your subscriber inline skater jojo from Ružomberok, Slovakia. 🫶👈

    Hoooooooooly Shit… 🤯🤯🤯 I just got my FR1 325 3/125’s today. I haven’t skated in over 20 yrs. I took em out to the parking lot across from my apt complex about an hour ago. When I tell you I was terrified at least 8 times while rolling through this damn empty parking lot, I’d imagine those of you with extensive experience are shaking your fingers at me. I had all the pads on fortunately and didn’t actually fall. But I felt like a kid trying to relearn to walk. Wow. I did not expect it to be a damn scary. I think I’m gonna have to order a new 4 wheel frame and wheels right away to prevent killing myself. I’ve learned my lesson. I get it. I’ll gave to get the 80’s and learn to control, balance etc PROPERLY. Do NOT get 125 without extensive experience. Take my word for it!! 😭😭😭✌️🥂

    Same here i had kaze 310 after 20 years of break in agressive skating and freeskating and feel the same. Well kaze have semi hard boot so not enought support and i can't powerslide with them so very scary. I selled them. but they were confy and very fast. This year i ordered twister 4x80 (maybe next year i 'll try the 90mm or 3x100) Also it's harder to push on it at beginning , in town you push you stop you push so not enjoyable maybe if i can powerslide them i 'll brake less but it wasn't a good experience. However i enjoyed speed skating on empty parking lot :)

  • @NikZvi
    @NikZviАй бұрын

    @phosphore7991 yeah, I also heard that Kaze are rather soft, not the best skate to start with big wheels. My first big wheels were Nexts, and I still think that they're perfect for bigwheel blading.

  • @phosphore7991
    @phosphore7991Ай бұрын

    @@NikZvi Yep but the problem for the powerslide was much about the wheels grip to much or maybe it's a mix of the 2 factors also i have tried only to times to stop with 2 parallels feets and the wheels don't slide they plant (89A from memory) It can be my fault too i dunno but if i can't stop it's really not safe. i 'll try the next in 100 mm.Have you try the 110 mm? They are good for bad tarmac and maybe better for the city compared to the 125 mm.

  • @NikZvi

    Good tips. Bending returned leg in knee is not for aero, it's to reduce load on quadriceps due to smaller torque required for it. Try to rotate arms with and without bending in elbows, feel the difference. Yes, most bang for your push we are getting while wheels are under the body. By that reason, double push is more beneficial than many could predict from common sense.

  • @NikZvi

    I usually recommend to start with a skate with 4 wheels by 80 mm with a hard boot from some of the well-known brands: Powerslide, Rollerblade, FR skates, Flying eagle, Micro, Fila Nrk. Hardboot means that it has a rigid plastic shell, so called freeskates. Not the recreational/fitness ones and not the speed ones. From low budget and vastly available models Oxelo Mf is probably the best choice. I have a review in them. Ask if you have any further questions.

    @@NikZvi can you tell me more about the wheel size and what they do for riding? I will be riding on the road and bike path. the roads are rather flat but the bike path does have some hills.

  • @NikZvi
    @NikZvi2 ай бұрын

    Smaller wheels are more maneuverable, bigger ones have more "roll", that means that they will roll further after one push. But bigger ones would feel less agile, more like skis. It's harder to turn, to control, to jump etc. Also bigger wheels are better for bad surfaces ( bad asphalt, gravel etc). It's easier to learn technical skills on smaller wheels, including some stopping techniques that is very important especially if you're going to skate on hills. So I recommend to start with smaller ones. 4* 80 mm is a golden standard for beginners. Although actually the difference from 3*110 or 3*100 is not that big. Any good skates have the possibility to change frames hence the wheel sizes. So I recommend to start with common setup and then switch to some others trying to find what fits your style of skating. It depends also on technique and physical parameters of a skater (height, foot and leg sizes etc)

    First of all use all the protection gear accessible. Second try to fall few times on a small speed, just to get the feeling, third, just take it as an axiom: fear is absolutely ok, it helps you to stay alive. You will be more and more confident with each training! Good luck!

    Yeah that's a nice advice, try to fall from the squat position or something similar.

    It's a brand called Re-action. But it's a local russian brand, so I don't think this info will be very useful...

    шире шаг, больше амплитуда, камера не дает работать корпусом. Мысли более менее правильные, но исполнение хромает. Как в прошлом году, видно что нет физухи вообще. Предлагаю взять напарника перед собой, пуст запишет твой забег на любой набережной, это километр, два. Сравним с тем, что сейчас заснял.

    вообще, у меня другой вопрос - сколько средняя длительность просмотра на твойх видео, которые не про обучение? По моим тестам 20 сек, что вряд ли позволяет вообще понять о чем видео. Я все с реддитом тестирую.

    Если видео минут 10, то где-то минута с половиной- две минуты. Ютуб не считает за просмотры просмотры, которые меньше 15 сек, вроде бы. Если видео залетает в реки, то просмотров обычно больше, а вот длительность короче.

    ютуб при выравнивании мной тайминга субтитров рисовал мне плюс 40 просмотров и не скручивал. То есть нарисовать 1к при умении в виртуалки и прт наличии нескольких сотен компов на работе не проблема. Проблема создать контент качественно хотя бы раз.

    я комент прочел/написал - ютуб засчитал просмотр. Я прошлый раз тестил на другом твоем видео. На реддите 125 раз нажми ф5 или пролистай сабредит или фрофиль до поста - счиается 125 просмотров.

    Просмотрами на реддите я никогда не интересовался. А на Ютубе алгоритм сложный и не всегда понятный, особого смысла что-то с ним мутить нет. А хороший контент - это да, для него нужно стараться.
