  Having little details, like recommended thickness, would be very helpful. I know the supplies are linked, but once the link is dead, the video becomes less useful.

  growing up in a foreign country, we all kids, had to cover all of our notebooks with this protective plastic every new school year, some kids loved the process I hated it so much. I did love cutting pictures of my fave singers and artist from magazines and newspapers and taped them to the notebooks tho. helped so much seeing Axel Rose or Brad Pitt’s face in the middle of a boring class 😂😂 ahhh

  Thank you This has been very informative I have made one with natural coloured cow leather and seeing yours weather to a darker colour has helped me make up my mind to leave it as is and not colour it😊

  Ya know, you mentioned the caps escaping… I understand everyone’s desk and usage is different, but it just dawned on me that I’ve never had a cap sitting on my desk run away, but I have had caps that didn’t post very well jump off the end of the pen. Surprisingly, I’m thinking of my Pilot MR right now. Most of the time the cap posts fine, but every once in a while, it just gets a little loosey goosey and tries to run away. Another point is about the Capless/Vanishing Point: I got a Majohn (sometimes branded MoonMan) A1 for about $40 and I carry that one around clipped to my collar. It’s a lot better than worrying about a hundred and fifty dollar pen getting scraped or damaged, and it really does write nicely.

  This is great for low value books but please everyone do not do this to any rare or hard to find books, I consider laminated books to be more destroyed than ones with heavy wear or writing inside.

  I find it amusing that you and a few others don't care for these pens because they are what they say they are - black infused with color. You're looking at them unfavorably because they aren't a little more colorful - color infused with black - and you want them to be. If you critiqued them as pens with black ink infused with color, I think you'd find them pens with great ink, but just too dark for your personal preference.

  This collection is wonderful. However, I watched a q and a about fountain pens, and it brought to light that some retailers (Amazon and eBay in particular) undermine other retailers by selling them cheaper than other retailers can. So I’ve vowed only to buy from true fountain pen retailers, and not from mega retailers that don’t specialize in fountain pens.

  That's a good point, plus you won't get much if any CS from eBay or Amazon like you will from a FP retailer, other than returning the item if you got it on Prime or something, I mean. Specific product questions or problems, not so much. YMMV but that's been my experience.
