I really enjoyed watching this video. You have a lovely collection, and I laughed out loud when you said, "party on the left, business on the right." Thank you for sharing not only your color matches, but your process and organization system. I remember you doing a color pen match video for the Hobonichi. Did you ever do a color fountain pen ink match for the Hobonichi? It would be interesting to see which fountain pen inks you use on a daily basis in your Hobonichi. I've decided to only use fountain pen in my Hobonich for 2017.

Fountain pens are like cookies. You can't just have one.

i am sure someone said this but could u also show us the ink bottles? and the inks may be a writing of these ? i have a twisbi with a turqoise blue pelican ink. i was happy at first..and what u said abt pastels seem true. they just dont seem to be nice on paper. i am looking to buy some inks too..if u do that video it wud be so helpful to decide

Would you mind listing your inks with each pen too? Have you done a video of favorite inks? I heard you say Autumn Oak, that's one of my faves too!

The Platinum inks with the Preppy fountain pens come in a literal rainbow of colors.

You should be very proud and happy (guess you've said). I also collect pens (from high end to plastic) based in your criteria: ink color or type, esthetic of the barrel, nibs, weight, use for each type of paper and so on. Suffice to justify having then. No need to point out the price you'd payed. If some people dislike it's because they have to much empty time in their hands and to much appetite for reality shows and junk food... Enjoy your passion and be joyful playing with then. 👍🏻✌🏼

You mentioned the set of JinHao with a hooded tip. How well do you like those?

DeAtramentis Document White is the only true white I found (Goulet Pens). Because it's permanent and waterproof, it can clog more than regular FP inks because of the composition so you have to use and clean it out regularly.

I thought you liked the Kakuno pens. Was surprised they didn't make the cut.

As long as you're happy & feel content your FP collection is worthy. 😃 I have the same collection (pretty much) as yours, except the vanishing point.

I looooove the J Herbin 1670 inks but they're a pain to wash out of a pen! Make sure to rinse out your pen every week or so, just to make sure the flakes and the saturated ink has not begun to clog the pen yet.

I enjoyed seeing your set-up :) I journal in pocket size. So, I am curious whether the Jinhao 301 would fit without being taller than my journal. My hubby & I have made pocket journals to give out as graduation gifts using your helpful videos. The journals were very well received. But, I am looking for pens to include in the future. Have you been pleased with the Jinhao 301? I noticed you also love TWSBI mini ( me, too ), how does it com[are to the Jinhao 301? Thanks, Carol

What a great idea! It is ~5.5" long, so it depends on your leather cover size as even pocket sizes vary a bit. The Jinhao is only ~$5, so I'd stick with that one for gifts haha. I love the thinner pens, but I also love the TWSBI for the built-in converter and see-through ink. For me it's like shoes - different ones and colors depending on your mood. :)

I'm guessing you're a fan of the Pen Addict Podcast, too, right?

Also, no offense, you've shown the pens before but this video says color match, so it sure sounded like you'd show the match. :(
