Want to vent. A ? Crow or ? Raven, has taken to calling out. Quite happy when the call is, (like now)across the road. However, the darling heart uses my fence right by my window to announce the dawn. Three mornings now. I’ve come up with a name. (F)aark. Bless ‘em🌈🤗

Imagine my surprise almost a decade ago at Sydney's royal national park seeing those fellas for the first time. One decides to steal a rump steak from my hand, I was sitting down eating it, he flew to the edge of the table and ran towards it. Once I tried to grab it back (fearing it might not be good for the bird) it refused to give it back, growled back at me, gave me a side eye and flew away. Took me a few seconds and the realization hit that I had just been mugged by a real life Pokemon. Wtf is even Australia 😂.

I had a white hen when I was 9 or 10. She looked exactly like yours. A dog, or maybe it was a fox, snatched her one night. :(

So King Parrots aren't as shy as Rosella's or other similar birds? Usually these guys are in pairs.........no sign of the partner? 🤔

No, a wild kookaburra will definitely not let you get close enough to pet it unless it's dead. Fact. You've got tame kookaburra's there. Beautiful birds!

The only time my chickens even touch me is when Im walking with food. They are all under my feet. You have something special that all birds see in you thats for sure. I got 2 more chicks running around and another Broody Hen on a nest and she wont come off of it. Thats telling me theres life in the eggs.
