They are so adorable!!!
Those Birds are really cool!! I had 2 baby chicks in the water dish this morning. I gently blow dried them off and put them back into the incubator and let them get a couple naps in. The first few days you have to constantly check on the critters.
Dwarfy is more of a long goodbye type of man

Just when I thought WE had WEIRD birds in the United State (look up the roadrunner; it's a hoot!), the Australians once again trump us with craziness! This Aussie bird is nuttier than a roadrunner and that's saying something! I think the only NUTTIER BIRD is that Aracuan Bird from the Disney animated feature "The Three Caballeros." As I type this, I'm thinking Australian WAS the land of reptiles until new animal species were introduced. I forgot for a moment that these kookaburras are flying lizards! A lot of the same behavior as a lizard besides having similar feet and eyes... I think it's the feathers that throws people off. Fewer people are put off/scared by birds than scaly reptiles.
Dwarfy is so charming the way he straightens his back with pride once he gets on your hand. He ❤️ you so much and is happy to be your boy!!

Beautiful birds :) Not as much as Quetzal or the blue eagle i met in Manderscheid/Germany but make an funny impression. Only one time I've seen a condor, doesn't look good but is really large (and slow).
So adorable that he likes to sit on your hand now! His smallness adds to it.
This seems to be similar to the purring of cats. Somewhat wholesome to think of it that way.
Not sure if Dwarfy knows his name or just understands when you look at him and present the hand. But its always fun to see him jump to you more or less on command. Ofc other times you get jumped without prompting. Little bastards. Regardless it warms my heart.

Glad to hear! I think all of the birds understand any gestures that I make really well and we have some good vocal and non-vocal communication between us.

i tried making friends with the birds around here after watching some of your videos but only rainbow lorikeets hang around they have lost most of their fear and keep trying to bite my toes and fingers -.- any tips on teaching birds that human fingers and toes are not food

There are no horrible animals in Australia, every species is as equally important to the county’s ecology as the next native species. The crocodiles keep the northern rivers healthy the same as any top predator keeps populations healthy. The venomous snakes do the same and rid us of invasive rats and mice.
