Depends on the situation… 4x is awesome especially with the ACOG but a “master“ very far away with a high powered scope and you in his sights…

My p30 is my edc absolutely love it. After 2500 rounds still not one failure and even with standard sights easy to put nice grouped shots down range. Been my edc for three years now.

I bought a microtech anax when they came out and it literally has no detent. It will in my pocket and when I hold it with the blade facing down. Also something is scratching the bottom of the blade on lockbar side. I haven't sent it yet but I am. 90% of the otfs I've bought from them came dull out of the box.

8400 rounds on the original striker? You do know? Like the springs and dual captive recoil guide rod you should change the striker spring or entire striker assemble after 5000 rounds.

Your logic is flawed though, if you are going to offset an rds on an acog you could do it just as easily with an lpvo. I actually think it’s preferable to run an rds with an lpvo as; 1) it gives you an additional sight redundancy 2) it allows you to passively aim with NODs 3) the biggest benefit. That you don’t have to run your your lpvo at 1x magnifier, you can run it at 3-4x, use the RDS for 80m(ish) and still have the additional magnification to push out further if environment permits.

I agree, great company but same issues. They sharpen by hand and I think that’s the issue. So much variance between purchases. No hate. I love them. Not doffing them at all. Just think they need to employ a CNC charoeninf system and a optical Go no Go QC system. Tightens of CNC would be a great connection for them. I want to make myself clear I don’t own a company that makes knives. But I do think this would help them as I have been around CNC equipment quite a bit, and this would absolutely solve most of the issues that I’ve had, and other people have had.

I wonder how easy or hard it is to change the firing pin? You seem very knowledgeable about this Ruger Mark IV perhaps you might consider making a video on how to strip and service those parts that need replacing. I doubt if any of us would ever come close to that many rounds you ran through this gun. Nevertheless, it’s good to know how to replace broken parts especially in light of our present very anti-gun administration making shipping firearms back to manufacturer very difficult often requiring to go through an FFL dealer.

Don't know why I've never seen this video considering I have watched countless Beretta videos relating to the 92A1 and 92S which I have, and the Stoeger version of the 8000. Then throw in the rest of my 92 Berettas and clones. The A1 is my tuned night stand gun. The 92S slide to frame fit is like glass when racking the slide. The Stoeger shoots very well and takes Beretta mags and maybe some other parts. It has a blue finish that isn't that great really. Having had Berettas for 30ish years they are on top of my favorites list along with the Sig 226 and CZ75. Stock vs stock, the 226 with the SRT trigger beats the Beretta A1. But, I recently got a 92X Centurion G model. This thing, bone stock, has a fantastic trigger. It's like Beretta put in the 92X Performance trigger or something. It beats the Sig. I had bought the Performance trigger kit thinking I would put in in the 92X but it just doesn't need it. Maybe I'll see if it will go in the old 92S. Good choices there and good shooting.

I was just reviewing Cougar videos considering getting one. I have several 92 models and the Stoeger Cougar. The Beretta 8000 I'm considering is a DAO. No single action. I'm wondering a few things. What kind of trigger it will have. Are there SA/DA parts available to swap out. Do the 92 parts fit in the DAO 8000. Anyone know anything? Oh and when I got my Stoeger about 10 years go the first thing I did was get on Gunbroker and find factory Beretta mags for it so I have 6 for my Stoeger. It's a nice shooting gun but the finish is no where near as nice as the Beretta that I can tell.

I know this video is 2 yrs old,but in my experience i kinda prefer this method over set screws. I have stripped set screws before on comps because they r so damn tiny & usually sh_tty allen wrench type screws. You don't have to use loctite with this unless u want too. It won't come loose because with the shims supplied you can torque the crap out of it. I did put red loctite on my pmm g19x comp, but did not on my m4a1....in case i decide i want to shoot it suppressed.

Anyone tell me what the pieces are to this setup? I was looking at an LPVO from sig, but the reason I wanna switch to this setup is because LPVOs are a little too clumsy and slow when switching from short to long range. Thanks!

I have a .44mag Redhawk in a 4in barrel... a very carriable bigbore. I own a few .44mags, from a S&W 29-3, 8-3/8in, scoped, to a Dan Wesson .44 in 6in... the Ruger is the one that sees actual holster time around town.
