I am an army vet, so I like having all my issued multicam gear available to use so I don't have to buy combat shirts or pants or anything. I don't like that I would be indistinct from LE/mil in the rare chance that that distinction would be a serious consideration, but I don't think anyone should avoid multicam (or scorpion or OCP or whatever) purely out of deference or respect to service personnel. I couldn't care less what people wear, and multicam is an extremely effective camo, and surplus is a cost-effective source of gear for civilians. I am a huge fan of OD Green so I go for that when I can, but my PC is coyote because I got a killer deal on an LBT 6094 that I couldn't pass up.

It’s a free country wear any cammo you want but it’s smart to wear one that works well in your area

I was an infantryman for six years(05-11). Use whatever you want, just learn to work with what god gave you. If you stick with it, you will find what works best for you. Your body, training and personal taste will all play a role. I'd use whatever depending on situation, EDC world lessons come into play. I have some multicam gear, some coyote brown and some od green.

You had me as a subscriber at “the only gameshow where we look at my crap” Also, anyone who gets upset about what camo you wear simply has a stick firmly up their 4th point of contact. A pattern is a pattern is a pattern, and I still have my issued uniforms and loan them out to whoever needs them if they fit. So, no, nobody has a lock on camo patterns, unless you’re Canada, and good luck getting Cadpat lol.

Navy Reservist here! I honestly don’t think it’s my place to tell anyone what they can and cannot wear. That’s one of the reasons I joined. My only exception is rank and unit patches, and that’s still a grey area, because there are folks that like to pay homage to those units but that’s a different story. But honestly run what you want to run my dude. Also, ever tried a Bren 2? Thoughts on it?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Unfortunately, I don't think I've shot the Bren 2; once the pandemic hit, they became virtually unobtainable locally.

From a vet that wore Multicam in Afghanistan on patrol, I don’t care who wears it. It’s one of the most effective patterns on the market. If it suits your region, go for it.

Multicam is a Civilian Camouflage pattern it came out in the Civilian market. The Army uses a pattern very similar in the OCP but the color we use is actually Scorpion W2 i think its called. So the Military actually doesnt formally use Multicam which is a Crye Precision patented color that the US Military doesnt use. So by all means use Multicam because its a Civilian color.

@@RickSanchez167 if it was bought off COTS yes we all have. But the US Army doesn't own the rights to produce it in Army issued gear. The US Army's patented color for OCP is Scorpion W2.

My take on camo color from a USMC veteran’s perspective is I was issued and wore woodland camo back in the day 83-89 and it’s made a big comeback of late. Personally I don’t take issue with camo color when utilized by civilians however where I believe there are issues is when people wear or display patches or rank insignia or awards that they never earned. I mean that’s just my humble opinion. In other words stolen valor etc…. Just camo color absent other insignia or patches seems fine. These days I prefer Mas grey by LBT.

Since I’m non-mil as well I tend to stick to non-US camo patterns like flecktarn or British DPM. For gear like belts, carriers etc I tend to stick with plain OD or Coyote. Partially for the reasons you mentioned and also because in a scenario where I might have to wear camo clothing or gear I want to be visually distinct from state or federal forces.

As a vet with many deployments I will say this: Wear whatever color/camo you want. No one gives a shit. If someone has an issue with it, tell them to kick bricks. If some asshat vet says something, he (or she) has obviously missed the point of fighting for freedom. ETA: subscribed. Nice job.

Multicam is popular with some Russian units as well as here, it's rather ironic all things considered. Used to have a Crye JPC but it didn't fit my choice of plates so I sold it to a guy who had the right ones. I should have gone a size up on the carrier bags! The SPC looks pretty good though. You got any cloth plate bags or wrappings on the plates themselves? I'd recommend them for anyone using laser cut carriers to protect the armor inserts from the elements and all that stuff.

Does the switch for your light on the AK get hot to the touch cause it’s on the gas piston? Also good vid homie

Thanks! Yeah, it can get hot, if I'm dumping rounds through the gun. When it gets to that point, I can't grip the handguard without gloves anyway,.

I think a lot of your criticism for the AK comes from you judging the entire platform by a bottom of the barrel PSA AK. it would be like saying Ford is a bad company because of the Ford Fiesta.

I’ve spent time with plenty of AKs. I just happen to be evaluating that one at the moment.

It doesn't matter what color you go with.

Personally, I think the camo is fine. Just don’t wear unit patches, rank patches, campaign ribbons, etc. That’s where you get into stolen valor territory.

@@magicd5780 Maybe. Trends come and go. The Bison is so slim, it really functions as either variety.

When it comes to color, the more important thing is to blend in with your environment and less about fashion statement. 2nd type of cool consideration: if you look good, you feel good then you play good. The priority is that your set up is efficient and squared away according to your “mission “. Just glad that we still have the freedom to buy this stuff so larp as hard as you want.

If you are really thinking about getting the F.C. Bison belt, you may want to consider Blue Force Gear’s CHLK Belt. WUT U MEAN AK IS NOT GOOD U HAF BEEN SHOOTING 2 MANY AMERICANSKI RIFFLES COMRADE. PISTOL IS FINE. No but seriously I totally get it, as an AK guy. The ergos are...questionable, at best. Especially when you realize they're patterned on rifles essentially made for farmers and conscripts. Glad you're having fun with it though!

Hahahaha yes. I'm having a great time with the AK! It's fun learning something different after all these years, but I also enjoy the way the AK feels. For the sake of fairness, I have to review my performance with the AK against more modern designs, and it falls short. But it's super fun to shoot. I love the recoil impulse! And when I place the gun in its historical context, it's astoundingly advanced for the time. It's tough to hate an AK!

I wear multicam to pretend to look cool but I avoid insignia, military badges/ patches, etc out of respect and I don't deserve to wear them. My motto, just don't lie.

Okay. When it comes to camo. Don't give a fuck. But rank insignias, unit insignias and "correct" flags are no go, unless you're actively serving. even Vets and Reservists can fuck right off from using those. Also. if your SO is ever lost for a gift to you. Seeing your book shelf, I can warmly recommend "Sixth and Seventh Book of Moses"

Lol camo is for breaking up your silhouette. Nobody gives a shit if you wear camo. The only people who will think your playing dress up are the people who already think your plate carrier is for playing dress up.

Hey dude, an worth upgrade to have is Hugo Industries SPC buckle extension. I used to have AXL SPC placard, and swapped it for the Hugo Industries (few bucks) since I like using the Crye SPC Admin pouch. hugoindustries.com/products/plate-carrier-placard-extenders I have the ranger green in 1.25" since I got a different placard by Wilde Custom Gear that is slightly shorter in height than my RDR Gear placard (Mk4 in MC Tropic STILL OoS after almost a year) I was able to drop the placard at the correct height. Hope this helps your placard situation.
