The Tesla with a weight on its steering wheel is scary as fuck. People have been using self driving features in towns and everywhere they shouldn't be. Recently one was driving through a park in Portland Maine because there used to be a road there, and the GPS hadn't been updated. Self driving cars will get someone killed, if they haven't already...
Is there an annual test to see if the vehicle is road worthy??? In the United Kingdom we have a yearly test on all vehicles after the three years of a new vehicle. Vehicle are impounded or immobilize. Because if no MOT then no insurance then no road tax. It can fail a test for just a warning light on the dash.

As a semi driver, yeah, I can definitely believe that some bonehead didn't realize that he managed to turn his own dash off. Or maybe his buddy pranked him.

Is there a certain threshold in the law where a car is _required_ to be repaired for public safety?? If a customer refused to fix a freaking broken axle, how dangerous is that?? I would want to be anywhere near that car on the road.

2:50 did he pass?? Love the cutout! I drive a Peterbilt truck, company driver. Back in early February, I noticed the pinion seal on the rear drive axle (I have two - it's a "big rig") was leaking, and the rear wind was starting to howl a bit. My shop said they'd get to it at some point. 6 weeks later, the seal failed completely and puked ALL the oil out, and it was so hot it was smoking!! I nursed it some 20 miles to a Peterbilt shop; I was down to 35 mph when I got there, because the rear end was vibrating so bad. Long story short, for lack of a pinion seal a rear end was grenaded... Company tried to say it was my fault for not telling them; I noted that I sent a video in February and got a response, and that they had done a service (oil change etc) at the yard...... $18,000 in repairs!

I will never understand why when people are told that something is wrong with their vehicle and needs immediate attention (not trying to scam said customer) and they'll refuse and just wait until it breaks all together and then blame the last shop that worked on it.
Parts guy just looking to sue the business.

I want to make fun of these people but I recently took my car to the shop because it was making a noise when braking, and it was the knob that holds down the spare tire in the trunk under the matt was rolling around on the metal surface making a clanking noise. So I guess it happens.
