These videos are meant to be educational and funny, so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!
0:00 Intro - Click show more under the video to read more.
0:05 Injection pump, turbo and air filter were replaced. The shop suspects there might be some scoring/damage on the cylinders but the customer just wanted the parts replaced. The truck ran perfectly afterwards so the customer was happy. Important to check your air filter often, especially when driving in dirty, dusty, muddy or snowy conditions.
0:21 Dodge RAM. Scary that somebody thought this would fix a brake line.
0:29 "The customer installed a caliper with the wrong bracket, and had to force the wheel on. Unbelievable!"
0:42 Easy find! BMW was also in for a check engine light concern.
0:54 A quick look behind the driver's seat would have found the issue...
1:07 A very easy fix...
1:16 Parts quote came to USD 20k. The technician is still waiting to hear back from Honda in regards to this as the vehicle only has 4000 miles on it.
1:27 These Toyota 2AZ-FE engines are super common to have oil-burning issues. "The 2AZ-FE engine had defective pistons and piston oil control rings installed, which carbonized easily as early as 60,000 miles. The TSB recommended a repair procedure that required an oil consumption test at local dealerships."
1:41 The technician said whoever did the work used a lag screw and tried to jam a nut on the end. He also found worn-out u-joints and other stuff wrong with this JEEP and that's why he thinks it may have been the customer who did the work.
1:52 The upper control arm ball joint was not pressed all the way into the knuckle. This could have ended very badly for the customer. Good thing it was brought in for an alignment.
1:59 No extra info.
2:09 In the clip shown that's with the headlights on. Let's hope the customer gets the headlights fixed ASAP!
2:18 Ford 6.0 Powerstroke (diesel). The fuel filter is right beside the oil filter on these engines (also had a 2nd one on the bottom). The fuel filter did not have an oil filter in its place.
2:25 The bent inner tie rod end is going to cause those new front tires to wear out prematurely.
2:33 A Toyota Tacoma that rolled in for a new rear bumper and some misc.
work.
2:41 Easy fix!
2:50 "The customer came in for an alignment but RO didn't state anything about the missing steering wheel airbag and pass airbag cover. The customer retrofitted a doorbell for a horn in place of the airbag and the customer cut the top of the pass airbag cover due to the airbag having previously deployed."
2:58 Always torque lug nuts/lug bolts to manufacturer spec.
3:06 Outro. Thanks for watching!

I imagine these are the people who had serious problems from ignoring noises and smells in the past and rush to the mechanic when something weird happens. It's not hard to imagine someone getting real headaches after hearing a liquid sloshing noise. I've seen a car which one of the brake lights somehow got filled with water, good thing it was noticed before the water caused any serious damage.

A lag screw? That's nothing. I had my car in a shop and when I started driving around a mystery clicking noise started coming from the rear. Turns out, the shop mechanic tried to remove the brake yoke in the back during the wheel bearing change, but he broke one of the bolt pillars because it was rusted in. Instead of telling me and getting a new part, he tried to drill the bolt out and failed. So he installed the drilled through yoke with only one bolt pillar in action and the other one broken (and drilled through). The brake was knocking, because the yoke was rocking back and forth as the brake pads interacted with the brake disc. It's a part that costs five bucks. That idiot nearly killed me for five dollars.

😂😂😂😂 I kept hearing a weird noise sometimes when I would be driving. So oneday I was driving and it seemed a lot louder and I knew it really needed an oil change and drove straight to my regular oil change facility that I liked because the guys were always really helpful and had previously done some minor work on the car. It's one of those places that you are literally trapped by curbs on both sides while your in line waiting so you can't get out until the line moves forward. They come out to each car to get your paperwork started and to ask if you need anything other than an oil change. I told them the car issue and he said they could check it out for me once I got to the front bay which usually moves pretty fast so I didn't turn off my car until I was the 2nd in cue. I was actually 3rd when I drove up and then several cars had drove in behind me. I listened to the odd noise very closely before I turned the engine off. To my shock I realized it was my 10 year old English bulldog sawing logs in the backseat. I was mortified how when I started to think back that's why I didn't hear the noise everyday. I only took her with when I was making short trips or if I could take her inside where I was going. So I informed the tech as soon as I drove into the bay I think it just needs an oil change and to do that first please. I faked it out pretending the car sounded 100?% better after the oil change and said I no longer needed any further serviced and drove away so embarrassed. Moral of the story - make sure it's not your 55 lbs. hunk of spoiled lard in the backseat snoring and growling in her sleep.😂😂😂
