Dr. Shereene Idriss

Dr. Shereene Idriss

Hi! I am a board-certified dermatologist based in NYC, who happens to be tired of all the misinformation out there when it comes to skincare and cosmetic procedures. I believe appropriate maintenance and subtle changes can overall be dramatic, and I also believe in being YOUR own best self.

What started as a community of obsessed skin nerds became the skincare brand, my newest baby - PillowtalkDerm skincare.

🛌 Follow along this channel for my #PillowtalkDerm stories where I cover a wide (and random) range of skincare and beauty topics. Hope you guys enjoy!

Hii i am gonna turn 20 and unfortunately i have visible smile lines and my face looks quite puffy from a lot of stress .. It's because of genetics too... my mum had them so early too but i have more wrinkles around my mouth than anyone i know, more than a typical 30 year old.. How can i make it better? Without any plastic surgery or face-lift just maybe with products or some kind of exercise? Its destroying my confidence i feel so old and im just 19 turning 20.HELP someome😭

100% agree with you. Im overweight but my face isn’t. I started collagen last year. About 6 months after I turned 50 baby I had jowls and smile lines😮 I fixed that real quick with some PD threading 😂 I still drink collagen and follow a facial routine though

Doctors will tell you there is no cure. But here is the cure below Apply castor oil (arand ka tail in Urdu) on affected area I used more than 10 medicines (both allopathic and homeopathic), creams, lotions and applied ice packs for temporary solution and it was a pain for 2 months. I was finally cured by CASTOR OIL Please use it and let me know how it goes. It works ❤

I use natural deodorant and I realized I sweat more in summer time. My trick is I wash my pits with salt soap and then apply the natural deodorant and sometimes I apply baby powder on top. It works for me.

Don’t get it near any mucous membranes as it will strip you raw. Be careful with raw soap.

Thank you doctor for this video. I would add Microneedling though. I have tried almost everything to look younger + delay aging as much as possible, anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements and of course Retin A (7 years straight), home devices and what not. However, nothing made any real difference compared to the high-quality derma pen I purchased for around 100 bucks. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm 18 again, but definitely not 44 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less are nonexist (Never had jowls though). People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin and instead spending thousands of dollars on botox\fillers\serums\creams etc.

+1 for kora beauticaIs. I've been doing microneedling since it started 12 or so years ago. Nobody believe I am 55. They all say I am in my 30's or early 40's. As you know, as we get old, our skin gets thinner therefore creating wrinkles. But the wounding kept my skin still thick and youthful. Your comment will help so many women to restore their skin..

Vital proteins do help strengthen nails, but they won't really do anything for the skin. I have tried almost everything to look younger + delay aging as much as possible, anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements and of course Retin A (7 years straight), home devices and what not. Use Driclor deodorant. You can only get it from the pharmacy, not in regular supermarket. I'm in UK so maybe they have something similar in USA. You won't need botox or scare people away 😂

I know this is old but I use stick sunscreen around my eyes because it doesn't migrate. I haven't had burning doing this... any other way and it's burning and tears. Edited to add: the sticks I've used have been mineral or chemical and both work. I prefer chemical because of my dry skin. Mineral makes me look ashy etc.

Sweating is normal and healthy! Body odors can be managed with detoxing from all of the crazy toxins we let into our bodies through literally route possible: eyes, ears, mouth, nose, skin! Removing as much as you can, especially washing laundry in non toxic detergent and washing with non toxic soap (soap has toxins too read your labels!), using a Chrystal deodorant stick then following up with a non toxic deodorant (I personally love Each and Every lavender). Give it time to leave your body, like a few months. But it worked for me! I sweat but I don’t stink nearly as much as I used to! In winter I barely stink at all! Summer, yea I still got a little stink but it’s also natural!
