do you have a suggestion as to how I can attach a bow eye to mine? I need to winch it up on a ramp
Hi Rebecca! I would recommend that you use the bow handle itself as the bow eye to winch the canoe. 😊👍
Any update on this? I made a custom pedal drive slot trolling motor setup with a watersnake t24 and autoboat system on my slayer 10. Im disappointed with the autoboat so now im looking at possibly a bow mounted ipilot.
Hi Ralph! No updates as there did not seem to be any real interest in this so I moved on to other projects. I would not think that you would want to use the autoboat setup there in your drive slot. A while back I contemplated on getting an autoboat but decided that for the cost it was not worth it to me. Can you say what was your disappointment with the autoboat system?
@@FFHTV Why would you not want to use it in the drive slot? The reason I fell on your video is because I'm now contemplating a bow mounted Minn kota with advanced gps. But it would have to be a completely custom setup, such as my drive setup. I designed and 3d printed a new drive well cover. I mainly got it for the gps anchor function and it just doesn't keep me in place well. It was okay for a bit but now that I have Livescope, I can't use it properly since I keep getting turned around 180 degrees before the autoboat turns me back around. It works well with moderate wind. Anything less and keeping position sucks.

I don't need hurricane protection and I'm inclined to do a little more to reduce noise; but this is a beautifully executed version of what I had in mind for my new upgraded genset arriving in a few days. 🤔 If you use some washers on the screws when you wrap the cord it wouldn’t pull the cord, it’ll just crush them tight. 👍🏼
do you think this could potentially be used with a 60kg servo for steering. instead of drive and reverse, it would be used as right and left
Absolutely. It's a servo controller so not an issue but you would need an input voltage of only 6 volts (not 12 volts) if running the servo directly off the servo controller connected to just a battery. 😊👍

I like it. Converted a Rocky Mount rack to hold my kayak and a bike. I just got the SeaEagle 437ps. Need to add a way to take the motor. I have the same one.

Hi stevenross9042! I enjoyed it while I owned it but had come to the realization that inflatables are just not for me and have since sold it but I can say that it is a very stable craft and very well worth the purchase if you are into inflatables. 😊👍

That's the same model I'm looking at getting. I have a couple of questions about your build: 1. What is the purpose of that black box that your exhaust goes into? 2. About how long would expect the generator to run on that tank of propane?
Hi Quaght! The black box is actually the generators muffler that was removed and relocated outside to reduce heat inside the shed. This was shown in the video. I would expect the generator to run anywhere from 6 to eight hours depending on load. 😊👍
Awesome video! I've been looking for a good video on soldering and wiring in the detent 10k pot to the servo! The only difference in mine is I'm going to have the ESC and servo in the same box as the potentionmeter. Thanks again!

Do you have any recommeendations for a 24v system I'm trying to find what ESC to buy I've burned through a couple PWM's from amazon and trying to go a different rount. I have a small pontoon on a small lake that I use. The trolling motor is a 82lb thrust running on a 24v system.

Thanks michiganadventures2784! Yes, I used PVC pipe and the flanges are 3d printed. Both sides of the PVC tube is supported by the flange. The STL file is linked in the video description. 😊👍
Good idea, but will it protect it from over heating from the sun
Hi Andrew, I put the visor on my Garmin to cut down on the glare from the sun so I can better see the screen. I have never had an issue with overheating on my Garmin with or without the visor.
This is awesome. I need to print this out this weekend and give it a try. Waiting on some parts to rig up my kayak with a C2 36/40lb, so I'm really glad I found this today. Nice job - very clean and simple.

@@FFHTV lol..no..draining the gas today..it started to backfire after I cleaned the idle jet.Called a service to fix this for me ..I give up.
Did you try running off of propane before calling a service? I own another generator that has a messed up carb and won't run but will run just fine off of propane. Never went back to gas after that. You should really consider just strictly running your generator off of propane if possible.
@@FFHTV Good idea...prob a lot more efficient as well with all these gas issues. I ended up calling a repair shop to come get it. But will look into propane.Thank you.
So, it has been three years now. Is the tape still holding? Any problems with the pvc lattice coming loose?
I sold my 10e last year. During my ownership I have never had an issue with the pvc lattices coming loose. 😊👍

Do you store this in the rear storage well or behind the seat. If so, do you also have room for a crate or cooler in addition to this box? I am preparing to build one for an 11' kayak that doesn't have a huge compartment back there. I have a 50ampHr battery and may have to convert a crate to become the battery box.
Hi Scott! My kayak is only 10 feet long so I totally get your question. I mount my battery box to a shelf I made that extends behind my seat. This leaves my rear compartment area open for a crate or cooler.
