Motorizing My Hobie PA17t (Electric & Gas) + Lighting - Florida Fish Hunter
Sharing some modifications that I made to the boat prior to taking it on its first voyage since purchased. The transom shown is partly just a prototype rig for testing purposes. Hopefully I'm close with the calculated transom height and angle for the outboard otherwise it should just be a simple adjustment. Be sure to look out for a follow up to this video.

I would recommend trying out a 17 first before dumping the 14 just in case you don't like it. 😊👍

@@FFHTV I borrowed a 17t when I was buying my 14 a few years ago. I didn’t want the extra chair and drive so I didn’t get it but as I build up my kit for my kayak I’ve noticed that I either need to lighten my load or swap to a larger kayak. I take this thing all over the country and do multi day camping trips out of it along with all day river cruises. I’m not going smaller at this point.
