Hi Sean, I have downloaded the TK selection brush. I'm using Photoshop Beta 25.11.0. When I try to use the selection brush, all I get is an error message saying TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading'_value') what am I doing wrong. Thank you.

Sean: As a long time LR/PS user I’ve always printed from PS since I have more control. This panel is really great. The workflow meshes very well with my workflow and makes things much more efficient. I sent a note to Tony thanking both you and Tony. I know it will be an integral part of my printing workflow from now on. Great stuff.

Your free video series about using the TK Print Plugin is comprehensive, clear, and exceptionally valuable. What a joy to have soft proofing easier, more efficient and much effective than before. Establishing a consistent framework and using the panel functions coverts print preparation into an understandable process that I can actually enjoy instead of dread. Anyone using Photoshop should get the panel and your videos without hesitation.

Thanks. I have always printed out of PS. Much better control and soft proofing. I also adjust black and points to match what the printer media can handle. I sold my printer a few years back and will be the Epson P900 in a couple of months or so. I use to print a fair bit and do miss it. I have at least 80 images tagged to be printed. So, I have my work cut-out for me.

Thanks for this Sean ,and Tony of course. I don't use Lightroom and have only returned to PS in the last year or so due to Capture One's dubious practices and exorbitant recent pricing. As I use an Epson printer I was using Epson Print Layout although recently have switched to Roy Harrington's Print-Tool which I really like. The only reason I have stayed with PS is because of TK8/9 so I will certainly give this a try.

If you mean Print Studio Pro, I agree that it is great for setting up print jobs...very similar to both Ps and Lr. However, I don't think it has a good way to make soft-proof adjustments, size and sharpen print files, add digital signatures, adjust for gloss differential and do manual black point compensation.

@SeanBagshaw9 күн бұрын
The only way is to make sure you have color management turned off in the printer driver and let Ps manage the colors. There isn't a way to change the printer driver settings from a Ps plugin unfortunately, so you'll have to double check that on your own.

Sean, does the "Too Dark?" bright the image without blowing out the highlights or does it simply brighten the entire image? Looks like it was adjusting the image about 1/3 or maybe 2/3 of a stop?

It lightens the dark tones using the Screen blend mode and a darks luminosity mask so that the light tones in the image are not affected.

Yes. I've done my own testing and, for me anyway, the auto black point compensation seems to do as good a job as I can do manually with curves. I will do additional black point compensation using the plugin in certain images with a lot of dark detail.

As a Ps user only, I really appreciate the opportunity to utilize Ps for printing. I have paid for the expensive RIP software, which is only available for my 11yo printer... requiring me to copy the Ps prepared print file unto an old laptop to print through, as the RIP software is too expensive for me to update and only works on a Mac with OS 9. The RIP software still works perfectly, yet I would like to update the EPSON 3880 printer, which is getting more difficult to keep running. Thanks for being so generous with this! I am looking forward to using my current computer, and if it works well, then upgrade my printer.
