Hey There, thanks for stopping by my channel! I'm Frank, I'm really big on DIY and how-to, I like making videos showing how to do your own repairs at a fraction of a cost of a expensive shop! I do videos mainly on small engine repair and electrical. I also do a guitar video now and then on a guitar i've been working on or building, high voltage electronics including jacobs ladder, and a "random" video now and then of something different, i like to switch things now and then, give a variety. I'm a licensed electrician, went through trade school for that and carpenter work/wood work. (((( and I can not be held responsible for your safety, some of the things i do on here deal with lethal amounts of electricity and/or involve other possible safety hazards, and should not be attempted, my videos are for informational / entertainment purposes only, Also I can not be held responsible for damages to equipment from my method/advice on repairs or for voiding warranties on equipment ))))

I am not an engine guy but after installing a new carburetor (had to shave off 1/16" off the bottom where the air filter bracket attaches) it started in one pull but was pretty rough. Messed with the two mixture screws and, damn man, it runs like it was meant to. Thanks for the straight forward and clear video.

ALways buy the 96" belt. The extra 1/2 inch on the OEM belt just makes everything a bit too loose for my liking.

Your video's are some of the clearest instructions anywhere. Not a ton of extra talk, either. Much appreciated. Also, I like it when you say "now that's the easy part."

Thank you for making this video. Very useful and much appreciated. The rear adjustment arms (lateral links) on cars, for aligning toe-in on the rear wheels have both right hand and left hand threads on opposite sides of the central sleeve.

I just got my hands on one of these that has been hidden away for a while. I plan on rebuilding it as well. It has a shiny arc billet flywheel on it.

In eleven years since this was posted, I'm hard pressed to find a more useful video for figuring out hooking up the linkages after having the carburetor off. You are much appreciated. I'm grateful this video finally showed up for me.

Thank u sir. Took awhile to find a video that shows how the automatic choke linkage worked. I’m not a fan of the crank me wide open set up either. Common sence knows better than that !! Thank u again

I got a new carb. The plastic part with the priming bulb doesn’t suck up any gas. What should I look at? It came with a new one (large black plastic part that levers go through). It’s clean. It had an insert that snapped through the hole that mounts to the carb that the original didn’t have so I removed it. It isn’t in your video either so it must have been for shipping.

I have a 127cc Briggs & Stratton engine on my GoKart just recently bought the same clutch but newer. It fit the rotator but the rotator doesn't have a hole to screw in to tighten it down and I'm noticing even with the old clutch and the new one it would just slide off the rotator since nothing is actually keeping it in place what can I do to prevent it from sliding off the rotator?

Note, basic fittings are only good to 10 bar, "Maybe more". Pneumatic fittings, if genuinely certified, are made of softer material so when they fail, they fail 'slow' instead of turning to shrapnel, and hydraulic rated fittings, if genuinely rated, are the correct ones to use for this application.

Very good video. I knew I had a fuel problem and you showed me how to remove the carburetor and clean it. The job was reasonably easy and the mower works well. I like my mower with a Briggs & Stratton engine better than the previous Honda powered mowers that I had - they both developed surging issues. After doing the work the mower started and ran well on the first pull of the rope. Now, I wonder how I can get it to run with a quieter exhaust.

Would this cause the fuel to dump out and on top of the muffler on a Kawasaki v twin?? My mower gets hot and then shuts off and it wont start again. Then fuel just starts dumping out like its flooded.

I just rebuilt one of these carbs and hooked the linkages back up. Mowers running great at full throttle but is suddenly surging a bit at idle. Could it be an issue w the linkages. Again only happening at idle and needle jet is clear.

I guess I'm a decent mechanic. I have a gravely zero turn. It's very hard to start after i run it a long time and turn it off. I just ordered 2 new plugs, 2 new coils and the fuel sylnoid shut off just incase. Because it lets out a small pop when i turn it off.
