Wow, fantastic guide. It's so rare to see a guide that breaks down PvP concepts and how to play matchups, and is not just a "use this build for BIG LOOT". It's really interesting because I've built on the same ideas but in different ways. I had a DoT-focused build with the old infernal staff (when it had contagious fire). This naturally backloaded my damage. By the time players would try to run away, it would usually be too late. Lots of kills off screen. I sacrificed all mobility to win brawls, and let my DoTs do the catching of kiting players. Recently, the Mistwalker hood has been a fantastic tool for baiting that I am using more. The timing can be a little tricky, but if you nail it you can get so much value. It also allows you to lean into your brawl power, encouraging enemies to commit, so you don't "waste" slots on mobility.

I'm glad you mentioned non-lethal corrupted dungeons, it's an excellent way to improve self-made mistakes. There's also a fair variety of weapons to go against so it also allows you to learn new builds. Unfortunately there's no death recap so using OBS to record and clicking once on each of the enemies spells enables you to see their setup after the fact.
@VicZaneGamingКүн бұрын
While managing economy and risks are really important, I still always suggest to everyone to go into lethal as soon as they feel like they can. The non-lethal is nice just to understand basic mechanics and spells but if you are already analysing your own mistakes and recording like you mentioned then full loot fights will be so much more valuable for learning!

One good tip I have with over 4000 hours of gameplay for solo gameplay: do zero to hero for WHATEVER content you are doing, I like doing it for mists. I buy 4.1 go get some loot bank it and then upgrade my set. Sometimes I make it to 6.3+ and other times die at t5 several times but something that ALWAYS happens is I MAKE silver. sometimes i delay upgrading and squirrel away some money. sometimes I start at t6/7 and see how much I can make before dying (pick only matchups I think are 50/50 or better) and then upgrade only after dying or start over at flat 4. A good way to upgrade is to start at flat 4 ( I have made millions in under an hour on flat 4 sets in abbeys or chests) and then buy runes/souls/relics and upgrade the set you have to 4.3 then sell (or die) and then buy flat 5 and upgrade again. It is both cheaper this way and easier to see your progress. I usually stash all the loot I get in chest in town then go back out.

Yeah, I think your experience is relatable to anybody who has a decent economy first and THEN starts exploring the pvp side of game. It's even harder because when you improve your skill, you don't have something clear to track your progress and get the 'number-go-up' good feeling like you get in most activities. You kind of just have to feel and trust that you are actually progressing.

Daybreaker is in a very good place right now and definitely worth playing in solo mists. Only concern is that you can have mobility issues. Because of this, a good and popular choice is to use duskweaver helmet. For other item slots, you can stick to same items.

As a main curse player with low mobility I learned to not run away the hard way against the sweatlords, even if I died I would leave them low enough for others to finish off. You can win so many fights if you at least try especially because the enemy might make huge mistakes to bait you to stay in the fight. After more than 1500 hours of practice and hundreds upon hundreds of deaths I get good paydays every week with a avg of 1.5-2M silver/H, first we learn and only then we can bank properly, so guys don't worry about dying, have some back up sets and give it a try. 😄
@VicZaneGamingКүн бұрын
The 'you can win so many fights if you just try' is very true. PvP is so full of mistakes and that's great. Also glad that you're turning all the forced lessons you had to learn due to low mobility into an enjoyable and profitable time! Takes a lot of patience to do it all with curse, I imagine.
@bettersuppwinsКүн бұрын
@@VicZaneGaming Well it does take a lot of time but if you invest your early earnings into spec in the main gear trees it gets easier, the only thing you have to get used to is the flaming people, they curse you after the fight more than you "cursed" while fighting 😆 Also the "radar" and "cheat" reports. Just after I watch your video I got inspired and brawled a spear with 1 tier above me, almost lost but won the fight as he had his finisher on undead cape and lost 50% dmg, only 4M from 6.3 kill , bad SBI, trash rate is lovely 😂

As mentioned by other people, there are a few specific builds to avoid like the plague unless you have solid counters. Examples include fire staffs, 1h cursed, boltcasters, sometimes lxbow, and sometimes frost. One thing in common with most of these builds is a large amount of defensives and a high dps output. Unless you have some way to counter their high dps and defensives, avoid fighting them. If you have solid counters, these guys are free money. For example, if you have guardian helm, 1h cursed is free money. If you switch to cleanse on leather helmets and bring gig pot, boltcasters are easy money.
@Mateuszyk2 күн бұрын

I found that with spear against fire staff, if you can put dodge on your boots you can just ignore their fire wall and kill them
@VicZaneGaming2 күн бұрын
It's a very valid strategy and it sounds like you've come to this conclusion based on your experience which is awesome. It's still very valuable for everyone to get this experience (and die a couple times) to figure out why it might or might not be a good idea to fight certain fire staff or other turret builds. Also, I feel like you can sometimes win these matchups based off of mobility advantage. Doesn't mean that it's worth in terms of risk-reward but possible.

Ur right knowing other weapons is also good but facing with the weapon u like will teach u to use ur weapon effectively against other weapons

In general, avoid fighting high dps one shot builds unless you have solid counters in your set and have developed a game plan on how you plan to counter their one shot. In general, fires on q1 firewall are not worth fighting as a melee unless you are ip crushing and have a high dps build like baxe. As a ranged kite build like frost or badon, they are a fairly easy fight as you out mobility and out range them so you can just slowly chip away at them. It depends on your build basically
@VicZaneGaming2 күн бұрын
Sounds like a good strategy based on experience. But I think it's worth it for most people to get this experience :) Also don't underestimate the potential of sometimes outplaying such builds with your mobility advantage. Still I agree that not worth in terms of risk-reward most of the time.

Good tip!! I used to do something very similar on Western server. Almost exactly like you described. The 0 to hero is a very fun game loop.
@@VicZaneGaming You should to a zero to hero guide to new players. With tips of your experience to help us and explanation of how to play it
We used to do it a lot in small scale. Start 4.1, tackle every objective, bait every fight-- Fun. I've tried it much differently solo, which is take every fight in a cheap set just for the content, but not really doing objectives. I will try it your way.
Zane l started playin spear and with your tips in all of your videos, l am performin very well, thank you
I'm very happy to hear that! Good job and welcome to the spear club!
@16:56 this is the hardest hurdle. I make more money crafting and gathering and refining. I feel like im wasting time if i spent 3 hours losing 5m instead of makin 5m. xD
@VicZaneGaming haha to be fair, I do actually pvp a lot. Just not 1 v 1. So it's not being worried about a set for the mists but rather, being worried after dying in a castle siege haha
please daddy zane, is daybreaker worth playing in the solo mists? If it is, should i use more or less the same build you suggest for using regular spear?
Daybreaker is in a very good place right now and definitely worth playing in solo mists. Only concern is that you can have mobility issues. Because of this, a good and popular choice is to use duskweaver helmet. For other item slots, you can stick to same items.
I've been getting so much better since me and friends started talking about our fights. Teaching is the best way to learn
YEY IVE BEEN WAITING FOR A NEW UPLOAD
Your advices are not just for Albion
You got me! But don't tell others. It's secret life advice :)
BE BRAVE! That’s what I always say to new players
Key piece of advice! The sooner a new player can get over the barrier of fear and risk, the sooner the real game starts.
You are like the old master that kung fu masters learn from. Nothing to do with age, as I have no idea how old you are, but more like the way you drop wisdom in every video!
I like the image of an old zen master! Ordinary man with wisdom is a sage. Sage with understanding is an ordinary man.
Thanks again for an amazing guide! These are words to live by. If you consider that there are lessons in failure all you can do is grow :)
Failure - the most data rich information source! And thank you :)
It's was helpful guide b of this I returne to pvp after along time keep going I love you videos❤
Very glad! Welcome back to pvp!
Man, this is the best Albion video I've seen for a long time. Thank You
Awesome! Thanks for great energy!
The 'you can win so many fights if you just try' is very true. PvP is so full of mistakes and that's great. Also glad that you're turning all the forced lessons you had to learn due to low mobility into an enjoyable and profitable time! Takes a lot of patience to do it all with curse, I imagine.
I don't understand the language. I would be glad if you add Turkish to your subtitles
Hi! I think you should be able to select automatically translated subtitles from KZread's settings under video. Check it out! From what I've seen so far, the English version of subtitles is pretty ok so I hope the auto-translated ones are good too!
@@VicZaneGaming Yes, I looked there and there is no Turkish language option. I am writing this article using translation.
I double checked it just now and it works for me. I'm not sure how to explain it but I had to select first English to enable subtitles and after that there was a new option called "Auto-translate" and there was Turkish as an option among all the other languages.
@@VicZaneGaming Interesting. I have 16 different languages, but there is no Turkish among them.
You‘re quickly becoming my favourite Albion KZreadr! Great guides! Thanks!
Very glad to hear!
Meditate until you have 8.4
As mentioned by other people, there are a few specific builds to avoid like the plague unless you have solid counters. If you switch to cleanse on leather helmets and bring gig pot, boltcasters are easy money.
and what to counter fire?
I found that with spear against fire staff, if you can put dodge on your boots you can just ignore their fire wall and kill them
It's a very valid strategy and it sounds like you've come to this conclusion based on your experience which is awesome.
Absolutely! Playing your own build to get used to it is still central part of practice and you're never going to replace it. But I strongly suggest to branch out and play other builds for any new-ish player - it's super valuable to understand your opponent's plans.
Vic Zane I hope you're a teacher or coach in real life because you have a real talent for it.
I am indeed! And thank you :)
i also recommend players to avoid fighting pike and wildfire staff players like they carry the plague..... just trust me on this one
Sounds like a good strategy based on experience. But I think it's worth it for most people to get this experience :) Also don't underestimate the potential of sometimes outplaying such builds with your mobility advantage. Still I agree that not worth in terms of risk-reward most of the time.
That “Bruce Lee before playing Solo mist” sent me 😂😂😂
It's so fucking rich that a frost staff calls you noob runner............
Real
