Until today I wasn't sure WHICH SERVER to play on | Albion Online 2024

Ойындар

I want to share a very intense emotion I had about Albion today. Maybe this will make you feel as excited as me. Or maybe this will help you if you are still deciding which server to main on - EU, West or East.
If you are also starting or restarting with a low ping and want to give spear a try, check out this guide I made - • How to spear
To get an even better grasp of Albion fundamentals, you will probably find this playlist very useful - • Albion Fundamentals

Absoutely felt this when switching to EU. The moment I realised I am able to react to spider jumps instead of having to predict them something clicked in my brain and I was hooked. I've been absolutely dominating in PvP as well with the 150 to 50 ping switch and am just having a great time. Not having one world is a bit Sadge, but maybe in the future they will implement some way to just hop between servers if you want to play with friends from other servers. But for now, I'll take the EU server over anything else.

It's a different game! And yeah, I hope SBI figures out some new ways to unite the whole community. Hopefully some creative integration. Although I'm sure economy-focused players will be unhappy with any sort of bigger changes anyway.

It's the same reason that i switch to asia from west last time.

Good for you man! Hope you’ll keep putting out great instructional videos! I still haven’t summoned the courage to switch from NA to Asia, where my ping would go from 300 to 90.

PvP with 300 ping sounds very difficult. But I understand that it's not an easy change at all if you have friends and economy already built up on west..

this made me realize, I might've been unconsciously avoiding pvp cos i used to play from East to West(ping is nasty). Now I can also dodge and hit on the moment I want, and start pvp seriously again. omegalol

Glad the combat side of the game feels much more fulfilling for you on the EU server. I'm sure SBI had good intentions when they decided on the "one world" model for the game but it feels like a flawed/unrealistic idea for a game that requires fast reaction times. Hoping SBI continues the trend of opening new servers in different areas. Even though doing so will cause a bit of short term chaos on the 'original' NA server it feels better for the long term health of the game.

Fulfilling is the perfect word! Exactly! It's so much easier to feel good even when you die if you know it's not because of technical limitations but because of yourself. Perhaps in the future SBI will find new ways to unite all Albion players into a single community, without limiting servers.

one another thing i realized it animations are smoother since the ping is lower. i used to have 180 ping on us (and i played till i had like 100m fame) and most animations were a bit broken since server and my client side wasnt synced properly. i can finally interrupt and dodge the skills.

I don't like being forced to play with a 150+ms lag, and that is why I started this week to play a game that I have known since development began. I am primarily a FPS dude, playing with a ping above 100 is blasphemy to me :D

The launch of EU is the reason why im back playing this game Still that wouldn't prevent people who have 100 plus ping from playing on EU I was playing axe and hit both of my Es on someone but because he was very laggy is didn't register the damage and it really hurt me when i died cuz i deserved the win

It's a different game with good ping for sure! But the thing you mentioned with your axe E's sounds frustrating yeah. It has not happened to me yet. I've assumed so far that Albion is fully server-authoritative and other players' ping won't affect how you see things but I guess big spikes can still glitch it out.

Jep, it was so frustrating that trash na players. Were able to have such a huge advantage in every single pvp encounter. And then everybody gaslights you that those close fights were lost to skill and not ping

😄 As a bald fella, i respect the hat 🎩 I totally get what you mean , i've been playing league of legends for 6 years , been silver/bronze for more than 4 years on 90-100 ping. When i upgraded to fiber internet and ping went to 60 -70 i suddenly climbed to diamond in a year XD . it's sad when the ms in your brain and reaction time is much better than your internet's speed . I didn't play west for that same reason , my ping was just too high, but EU is far much better. Tbh , right now i'm still being totally rekt in pvp(mist) even in scenarios where i'm doing everything right (i record to review my mistakes) . Due to some kind of unluckiness i keep running into rly high ip players or zergs in bz. Losing silver and having to start from 4.1 again every few hours feels hopeless, there's even this guy that felt so bad and gave me 100K coz i told him right before i die " it's ok , i don't have anything really , i'll just start again " 😂😂😂 BUT ... i love the game and i hope i get a break and some luck, bit by bit i'll get those millions to buy premium . You never know when things gonna get better for you, as long as you never stop trying.👍

I was one of the people who gaslighted myself into believing that ping doesn't matter that much and now I realise how wrong I was. The fact that you are recording and rewatching is a very big thing already for progress. Not sure I entirely believe the idea of being lucky or unlucky. I think in 90%+ of cases there are mistakes that lead to dying. But also I haven't really done BZ roaming for a year since I spend almost all my pvp time in the mists to play against solo players. So I don't exactly know what regular open world is like these days in terms of fights. Yup. Bit by bit is a good mentality :) The journey IS the destination!!

I hope that it's just the stark contrast with what it was like a couple weeks ago that you are feeling so clearly right now. And many west players I know are playing EU just for a short time to be part of the launch but already itching to return.

I truly believe that the overwhelming "west ded" comments are, in fact, EU players being self important wankers
