An approach to (avoiding) FAME FARMING in Albion Online 2024 | Mists guide

Ойындар

I love playing Albion Online with a heavy focus on PvP. However, I still enjoy seeing my fame go up because dopamine and because it makes me stronger and more cost-efficient in my PvP gameplay. So far, I have almost entirely avoided famefarming because to me it feels boring and I'm here to show you how I approach this topic.

    I had the most amazing day in the mists yesterday. I was wearing some low 4.1 gloves trying to spec up and I saw a high end 1h mace guy. I went to a camp to try to talk to him because I don't got 120 in 1h mace but I am 100 with almost 75 each mace as well. He didn't see my first message and started to get on me. I said wait, I only came to say I admire you! Hahaa. Then a frost staff guy attacked him and they got into it. I watched the fight while making some comments on how badass he was doing. He killed the frost guy, got 2.2 million fame and asked me to follow him to brecelian. He gave me like 800k loot off the frost guy and thanked me for not ratting. Well, not like I could in 4.1 but I wouldn't have anyway. Then immediately after that in a new mist, an epic wisp was being fought over. I rushed to it but a fire staff guy already had it. There were 3 other players there. I made a comment about shit, sucks I missed getting it because it's hard for a solo player without guild to earn favor. I did nothing to the fire staff guy, I was just the lowest of the people there. He kept attacking me and trying to kill me and I was running away with gloves. He eventually got killed by a spear guy after eating shit to mobs chasing me for some weird reason. I congratulated that guy and thanked him for helping me when I was just chilling. He dropped the wisp and gave to me. I was like yeah? Then he followed me all the to the wisp destination to make sure my 4.1 ass lived. Great day.

    What a wholesome day!!! You must have good mist karma. I'm glad not only cause you got to experience this nice side of mists but also because the last hero was a Spear player :) Although I must admit i myself usually fight over objectives. It would take an exceptional message for me to not attack someone.

    @@VicZaneGaming Oh yeah, can fight over objectives, it was just so weird fire staff guy fixed on me out of 3 others haha. Right now, I am actually trying to farm up leather jackets, the rest of my artifact plate shoes during this %20 open world bonus. While using my blight staff, stalker jacket, mage cowl combo.

    Hello. You've not only helped me but you've changed my mind set a little bit. Your vontent is really more then great. It has a great construction but it also explains WHY in details and HOW as well. You do not creat it as most of youtubers (in a shi*y way) but in a very professional way. This is really 10 out of 10. And I'm not talking about this video only. Your approach here, in your content, is amazing, and I'm telling you so as a guy who is creating professional trainings due to my job responsibilities. I had many problems with PVP and planning how to develop my character but after few of your guides situation is completaly changed. Frustration is gone, I have better attitude, I have better effects and what is the best I know what to do and why I'm doing it. Your content might be a bit better in some point, but it doesn't matter! Your guides are just best albion guides I've ever seen (I watched a lot of these). I wish you and your channel best and many successes. Keep doing it, because really, you know how to do it🙂

  • @user-vt2cr8qd1b

    @user-vt2cr8qd1b

    2 ай бұрын

    For specific very mana intensive builds (think daggers), cloth boots are required. However, for most other builds, plate boots are better for the healing. I think healing boost also applies to the healing from the boots. As such, you may be healing 150-300 hp per sprint use which adds up quickly.

  • @VicZaneGaming

    @VicZaneGaming

    Thank you for the awesome vibes!! About boots: 1h Spear almost never has mana problems so no benefit from cloth sandals really. Extra heal is valuable though. Leather shoes can also be ok for additional cooldown reduction.

    Abbey buffs are not just a small difference. Each stack gives you +2% damage and +1.9% defense against other players. For comparison, 100 IP give you +9% in damage or defense depending on the item. 5 abbey buffs of difference end up counting as much as +100 average IP. If you skip PvE to only PvP in abbey, keep in mind you risk finding someone with a significant advantage.

  • @VicZaneGaming

    @VicZaneGaming

    Ай бұрын

    That's a great point to clarify! Although I think the benefit of increasing IP is not easily quantifiable to 9%, especially when it comes to HP and defensives. But the advice to keep in mind the potential impact of abbey buffs stacks is good!

    Hey, very good and informative video, like every guide in this channel! Thanks a lot, really appreciate your work! But can you please explain, why you said about lvlup non-artefact items to 75 lvl and artefact only to 50? I can’t enter in the game right now and check. Are artefact items harder for leveling then non-artefact?

  • @VicZaneGaming

    @VicZaneGaming

    Ай бұрын

    Thank you! Artifacts and non-artifacts take the same fame to level but they affect you a bit differently. Non-artifacts will give +0.2 to your IP with other items of same tree for each spec level while artifacts will give only +0.1.

    Hello, I really want to learn a mists pvp and I like to play a spear, and after your video about a bloodletter want to learn it too. But it's a really hard for me because I used to play a healer in duo and other teambased content. Are there any discord or boosty for additional solo spear pvp info? And how to deal with dieing, sometimes it's really hard for me because I don't have a lot money and it's hit my moral

  • @VicZaneGaming

    @VicZaneGaming

    Ай бұрын

    I do not have a discord at the moment but I am figuring out a way for more interaction and potentially additional content. I think all holy healers can relate to you in that it's tricky to figure out what exactly to do when you are solo. Spear is a good choice because it forces you to learn a lot about all other builds that you will fight. Although the learning curve takes some time. And the demoralising effect of dying is a universal Albion experience. If you haven't seen it yet, this video can be useful for this actually - kzread.info/dash/bejne/maKW0a6ph87Np9Y.htmlsi=D6am5gLSKTl3acNK

    I usually decide based on how my economy is doing. Tier 4.1 feels like the bare minimum to be able to kill mobs but if you feel good financially, I'd get 4.3+ right away but simply not take many fights until I have some specs. Also - for some weapons like spear or battleaxe, you will be fine at 4.1 but for some builds you just need more IP or you will be killing each mob for an hour.

    As beginner, I don't understand what you mean by get 75 in core items. Can you elaborate more?

  • @VicZaneGaming

    @VicZaneGaming

    Ай бұрын

    Of course! What I mean by getting an item to 75 is to level it up to around 75 specialisation (the outer ring of your destiny board). 'Core items' simply refers to the items that are the most important for the build you have chosen to run. For example lets say you decided to use assassin jacket as your favorite option. In that case you should prioritise leveling up your specialisation with it first. But once you get it to 75-100, it is a good idea to start also getting fame in other leather jackets because they will contribute to you having higher Item Power with your assassin jacket.

  • @balintmolnar7471

    At around 75 main spec (core items) it starts being more efficient to gain spec on non-artifact, and later artifact spec nodes. Main spec gives +2 IP, non-artifact +0.2 and artifact +0.1 in most cases. So if levelling main spec becomes 10x/20x more than levelling off spec, it's more efficient to gain fame towards those nodes
