The shout out to John Lennon was devastating. Great concert though. I was one of the million or so on the lawn.

25.years later, I'd see Sir Elton in MSG. My vantage point for that concert was behind the keyboard and so I could watch his masterful playing from that perspective. One of the best concerts I've ever been to in my life. I'll also mention that Elton John's greatest hits on eight-track tape was the first rock and roll album I ever had. I received it as a bar mitzvah present in 1974.

I love how consistently manic and unhinged Nolen’s take on Sweeney is. Guy is constantly on the edge and out of it.

This is a great performance but in my opinion, my favourite performance post surgery is on the October 20th, where he attempts and succeeds with 6 yes I dos' at the end, and all the shine a light falsettos as well. This being the link to that performance. -> kzread.info/dash/bejne/dKGfssmtituypZM.html

I remember seeing this on TV when I was a kid. It’s great to see it again decades later and having grown up with Elton John’s music. And I love how they started the show off with “Funeral For A Friend (Love Lies Bleeding)”, my ultimate Elton John song and one of my favorites of all time.
