    so some quick questions if i could, i own a Peavey Millennium Bxp 5 string. the B string is missing (i bought it used that way) so it's basically a 4 string, is that a good bass? would learning on it be alright for a complete noob? do you have any videos teaching how to play an electric bass, with no amp? (one day i may buy an acoustic bass, then i will not need an amp) *or build one thoughts? ps, i've plucked a bass maybe 3 times. still, they are sweet, and i want to play the thing..

    It follows the basic rule, that was shown in "Eddie and the Cruisers II". The part where Eddie shows Rick Diesel how to play epic guitar. Basically he tells him and shows him how to let the guitar breathe when you play a riff.

    Charming video! I'm a guitar player looking for recording bass. I was thinking about picking up a cheap mustang bass but they seem expensive. Should I find a cheap p bass instead? BTW I love lcassic looking Fenders and play strats almost exclusively.

    As I understand it, for a tune to be considered a rip off, it has to copy 7 notes in a row. So the same three notes is fine. But were they in the same key? {:o:O:}

    There's also the poorly set up bass, it results in fighting against the fret board and assuming it's how it's supposed to be. Bad hand positionning can really hurt, I struggled with that and sometimes still fall back to this bad habit because I've spent too much time practicing the wrong way. '' I have small hands '' is about as good as an excuse as '' I don't have the sense of rythm '' for people who just can't admit they're too lazy to start the journey and keep on with it.

    Sorry but all Fenders are shite!!! I suppose the reason the masses seem to chose them is the fact that they were the first ever invented! It's definitely the case that boutique luthiers have used the design and completely bettered and improved the originals!!

    Been playing Guitar for 20 years, Bass was CAKE, So was Violin!!.....I was literally better than my instructor in about 1 month, got bored, went back to guitar....literally No joke. Guitar is extremely hard in all of it's layers....if you can get to a good Intermediate level, you can probably dominate most string instruments.....sorry it's just the truth.

    you're probably not better than your instructor, you're just arrogant at all, as a teacher he can't just try to impress you, he have to teach you. check charles berthoud, davie504, champignon from cbjr, flea, lemmy kilmister, mccartney, geddy lee and try to do the same as them, i'm not talking about covers, i'm talking about technique and creativity playing.
