At a very slow speed, it's actually a double creak sound (not knocking) creak-creak ------ creak-creak ------- creak-creak. Talked to a friend who thought for sure it was a bushing and I thought he was right until I saw this video. But why so abruptly? But in my defense, the guy I hired to come remove it after it was broken, broke it some more after he told me it probably wouldn't have come out in one piece anyway. Then I found a shop to reinstall both that a little independent shop used to use for doing all the local vintage cars. And.....they used the wrong sealer around the windshield after I specifically told them what to use. But it didn't leak and they didn't break the new $1,000 glass so I considered it a win. Oh and I'm going on two years now I've had my GranTurismo apart to redo the F1 pump and motor. Went through this hell about a year ago and the short answer is you need to get hold of OEM glass, seals and mouldings to stand any chance of achieving a factory fit condition. Use glass branded St Gobain or Pilkington, all the other stuff you can forget. Front screen top and bottom mouldings are unobtainable, and if the originals were yanked off and bent taking them off as mine were, all that's available now are a different section. Many people give up and fit rubber seals on the front screen which can never look right. Persevere to source OEM and try to use someone whose done it before. It's a 2 man job - one guy on his own will struggle to fit the glass and mouldings correctly before the sealer starts to cure.
