This and project binky from bad obsession motorsport are my favourites from yt build project channels, kind of similar vibe, which i very much approve of... Very fortunate to stumbled upon your channel, Lou, thank you for entertaining us.

I would bet Bill at GT Car Parts can find a decent used hazard switch in his inventory. Be sure to clean all the contacts before installing as the regular turn signal circuit runs through the hazard switch and dirty contacts can render them inoperable causing you to chase your tail for days until you realize it is the hazard switch causing all the problems.

The light you found in the box is not for the dash but a Euro fender marker light as used on a Dino. The correct one has a big black bezel like the other lights. As for the rear emblem it is definitely a 328 one. Oh the joys of parts hunting. Otherwise looking good. As for the missing studs on the instrument panel that's a tough one because it is anodized and you cannot fix it 100% without a full strip and re-do. I would recommend just bonding the rear bracket with JB weld (not JB Quick because you want the extra strength) and calling it a day. Unfortunately I do not have the part numbers for the dash lights but they are easy to take to Canadian tire and match them by eye to the correct LED equivalent. Last thing is to absolutely bypass the rheostat on the back of the dash cluster that controls the brightness of the instrument lights. Not only it is an ancient fire hazard but it is totally useless and will never be used. The lights on a 308 dash are never bright enough and one of the first things you should do is bypass that switch to remove as much resistance as possible to them.

Oh wow-very brave of you to drill the emblem holes! Being OCD, I'd be freaking out if I had them drilled and didn't get the badge 100% level. Never mind the anxiety of possibly messing up the fresh paint. Also, as someone else commented, the "GTS" badge does appear to be from a later 328. My understanding is the early Carb cars got silver/silver versions for GTS/GTB. I'm not certain if they had mounting studs or if they were glued on back in the day. The "308" may be from a QV or 328, but I personally like seeing that version on any 308 so I'd leave that one alone. With the shifter, that's awesome work. My car's (Mondial 3.2) shifter was in good shape but somehow accumulated some debris which was recently removed during a shop visit. Oh and a mouse nest under the console next to it. Surprise! Aren't those NLA parts annoying!? I'm learning to be patient as I have some I'm also trying to track down, thankfully none that are essential at this time. Looking forward to the next installment!

So nice to see the internal operation of the switch for function and number of throws. Ah the good old days. As to the switches, I would think you want new switches so you they would be the same age as your restoration. For all you know Ferrari sourced them from Lucas. 16:49 been there done that....but if you mucked up the badge was like 1/2" bigger than the holes so you had a fudge factor. I personally would have used the VHB tape, that way you don't have any holes to rust and it can be removed with a plastic spatula.

I would have loved to see that you go a bit deeper into the shifter restoration. You could have checked the bushing as it may be the reason for unprecise shifting when worn. Also you could have painted the inside of the case matte black. Also when you are in there, "polish" the shaft and the case where they are moving with 2000 grid sandpaper. A bit more grease on all the moving parts would have helped as well... But maybe you did all that and it was not shown...
