@@LouTrottier I had a new apprentice show up and this must have been 30 odd years ago. He was only 16 and had just left high school (this was the UK) and in his hand held metal toolbox (the type that opens at the top and splits into 3 little trays per side) he had a ball peen hammer, a cold chisel and a pair of mole grips or in the US Vice Grips. That was it?! I felt bad for him and I took him to the local B&Q (Home Depot) and bought him some half decent screwdrivers, 3/8 drive sockets with a ratchet and a few spanners (wrenches) in the sizes he would use most. In the end he was turning into a pretty good technician! But his older girlfriend became pregnant and he had to change jobs and become a slaughter man because they paid more. He would have been a good technician in a couple more years and made good money, but life happens. He was always known as ‘Mole’ and that name stuck. Sorry for the ‘Story of the day!’ Lol
