People aren't starving in North Korea. So, don't compare it to NK. Yes. The President is a freak show and does weird shit. The Uzbeks are also into various shades of white for their cars. So the Turkmen are not alone.

I actually had the pleasure of hosting someone from turkmenistan for 6 months. She was so sweet. Super quiet, like seriously quiet, the longest conversation we had the entire time was 10 minutes long. She was still pretty outgoing though, she loved scary movies and any manner of daredevil activity. She rarely spoke about her home and never spoke politics except in historical contexts (communism). She spoke turkmen, russian, german, and english. In school, she also was taking spanish. She practically spoke english better than native english speakers, she got good grades and wrote all her reports in a very rigourous high school without any assistance. We were told she was likely muslim, but she did not seem very religious. The 2 things she mentioned to me that struck her as culturally odd about the US were the dog being inside the house (I guess most people had outdoor only dogs). And that everyone was constantly going to the bathroom during class. She asked if Americans have bladder issues, we had to explain that many kids just use the bathroom to take a break during the day since time between classes was 4 minutes to get to the next class.

As a French, I can say that a couple of more years for Hitler ans his scientists and he would have won the war, between the atomic bomb, the stealth bomber, and those jets. I’ve heard of many more stuff but that more folktales than anything

One point I take from this is that economies require long-term management. However, it's still unclear to me how this is done. Governments can't do it because that is generally inflationary, and powerful economic interests would tend to overthrow such regimes. Conversely, the powerful economic interests can't do it because they are generally against all the things that ordinary voters want from their socio-economic system, namely affordable (competitive) prices, high wages, full employment, and a fair legal system. (Furthermore, I would argue that your plan, seemingly composed of short-term austerity in support of long-term prosperity, is highly vulnerable to predictable disgruntled popular forces that are unwilling to suffer indefinitely or arbitrarily.) Vurtually by definition, a proper economic plan should moderate economic highs and lows (or else what's it good for?) and satisfy those required by force of law to accept the policy (thus preventing political strife). As long as those criteria are met, such a plan ought to be successful - but the devil is in the details.

The US Military Might and due to US Hegemony with Sanction against Venzeula made its economy terrible. The US and UK stole their gold and oil and dismantle the refinery to be shared among the virtual president Guido and the US Politicians. The US supressed Venezeula Economy to change it Regime to steal its oil and rich resources. President Maduro recently went to China to seek help in its trade and economy. In 3 to 5 years China helps Venezeula to become one of the richest country in South America. Only time will tell.

Funny how the average lifespan and quality of life shot through the roof in the Soviet era, almost as though you know nothing about it and this video is absolutely awful and unashamed propaganda from beginning to end. Just look at the sources, Radio Free Europe is the literal CIA and no that's not a joke.
