I absolutely love that Hinekora is to some extent aware she's in a video game and is irritated that we, the player, aren't playing Path of Exile 2 yet.

I cannot imagine the amount of work needed to put something like this together. Fantastic stuff. As a PoE noob who only recently shored up enough courage to dive into it, it's awesome to have an understanding of the immense amount of lore for the game. Definitely deserving of a sub. Thanks!

Lets not forget that Sin, the creator of the beast, is husband to Garukhan and father to Shakari, two goddesses of the sands. The connection to the Maraketh and Faraduns seems like a strong link, and makes sense for them to be able to sense the beast so much, considering their origin, their proximity to the beast itself and the god that created it being so close to them.

I am addicted to these videos and I will probably binge re-watch them all again until the affliction video is released :) Love your work Noodle, you made me addicted to POE lore. One thing I mentioned in this video just now - didn't see it before, but it caught my eye - "The Arkhon's plan to rescue his daughter will fail, but you must try anyway". If it's referring to the events that happened years ago, as yes indeed Valdo tried to save his daughter, but "us" (the PC) had nothing to do with it and weren't present for the events. so the line "you must try anyway" doesn't 100% make sense here. You could argue that he is referring to the idea of defeating the Elder [in order to save Zana], and how we never actually "defeat" him so you could consider this failure, but then again we do sort of "banish" him and in doing this we are keeping the world and implicitly Zana "safe", no? And I was thinking, since this version doesn't 100% make sense - what if Hinekora is referring to something in the future? Something happening specifically to Zana and us having to rescue/help her, aided perhaps in some way by the Shaper? Idk if this makes sense, but it seems a bit out of place to me that this would refer to the events we already know because: 1. Zana didn't actually need any real saving and nobody actually "failed" to save her and 2. The PC was not involved in the episode, thus making the line "you must try anyway" sort of nonsensical.

Thumbs down! So poorly presented with run on sentences. Not actually explaining in any sort of eli5 manner. Just blurting out lines like reading from a robotic script. Even if there is helpful info, it's hard to interpret. I had to go look up Vole because of no explanation who that is or any sort of context. There's also lots of lore superimposed that isn't actually part of the exposition as you play through the game. It's fine, but I rather just get an explanation of exactly what I am playing act by act. Currently in act 2. Game is like easy mode of a typical rpg. I'm obliterating everything. But I cannot proceed because I don't know what is going on. Everything went dark, and everybody said I killed some boss who I have no recollection of ever fighting. So I am stuck trying to figure out what the story is before I proceed into the tower.
