I don't like the new connector on the nvidia 4000 series cards either. I'm looking to put a RX 7900XTX in my REVOLT 3 case, so if any body can tell what video card works in this case. thank you

I set to 85c and 30, running about 17 degrees cooler on my 7700x, 95c was scaring me even though AMD says it’s normal.

I feel like amd offers the right price to performance for current Gen games, anything more is wasted money imo when game engines have capped fps now or are just badly optimized regardless of GPU

People keep saying that 7900x3d got a price cut left and right. Unfortunately that's not the case on where I live. $390 for 7800x3d and a whopping $500 for 7900x3d.

So glad I've still got the 4GB EVGA GTX 960 SSC for that VRAM advantage with older games, where the extra 2GB of VRAM costed as much (with P&P) as the optional extra full metal backplate of the backplate-less 2GB version, while also coming with the backplate as standard as a bonus. It's great for maxing out Windows XP/8.1(+Classic Shell Start) dual boot retro builds without having to depend on funky modded drivers.

    P. S. Also the last mid-range x60 card to still support SLI, if you're into that sort of thing, for those few titles that'll actually benefit from it, for that "just because it looks awesome in the case, especially with the light up EVGA hard SLI bridge" factor, rather than for practicality, where a significantly more powerful single 1080 would otherwise make more sense.

    P. P. S. The GM206 GPU of the 960 was also the first from nVidia to support HDCP 2.2, putting it ahead of the likes of even the Maxwell based Titan-X of the time, at least in that regard.

The current price on Amazon is LESS than the 7800X3D. If you are willing to do a bit of configuration, you can get the 7900X3D to be about the same speed in gaming and it will be faster in productivity tasks. Still only 120W TDP.

Same reason why I am here. The gamer crowd is too loud, but looking at the pudget bench marks for video and photoediting, this CPU is literally a 7900x on sale, with a tiny bit weaker performance.

hey, how are you? can you help me? I have an RX 7900XTX Nitro Plus. she is incredibly beautiful. or almost incredible I say this because my computer after a while restarts by itself. I have already reduced the power of the GPU. I already removed the xmp from the memories. but for some reason my computer restarts. my configuration is: b550 auros elite 5800x3d 2x16 (3200-360MHz) rx7900xtx nitro plus 850w source a detail. before restarting the computer. the monitor is left without video. then restarts in a few seconds. Another detail is that all of the computer's LEDs (RGB) remain accessible. gpu rgb, memory and water cooler.... I already updated the drivers. I've already used old drivers but nothing changes. Do you think it could be a source? hug!!!

It's not a BAD CPU, its just a rather pointless one. In productivity tasks, it is worse than the cheaper 7900X , and in gaming it's worse than the cheaper 7800X3D. Had it been priced a LOT lower, It might have its own little niche. Unfortunately its outperformed in both productivity and/or gaming by its cheaper cousins. Just doesn't make much sense.

It's May 2024, and we can buy the 7900X3D for <$390 US, only ~$25 more than the usually favored 7800X3D and even a bit less than the 7900X. Sure, having only six 3D cores is a bit of a drawback, but for most gamers who also want to do some creation, or vice versa, the 7900X3D is a truly valid option.

why no 7800x3d on this chart? Come on... Now that the price is fairly close to the 7800x3d it shows the 7900x3d may be a little slower in games however it makes up for that in Productivity, IMO. I just picked one up for 389.00 20 bucks more that the 7800x3d. Its in the mail now. :)

Nice video but you'd really need to compare your 7950X to a 7000-series Threadripper Zen4 to be really apples to apples. Would make sense for a 2-3 year newer part to decimate a 3000-series TR.

For it's price it's def not worth it, it might be cheaper than Nvidia, but it's still crazy expensive. If prices don't drop in the next few years most average joes are just going stop buying graphics cards, and I'm talking about all the Cards, not only the Flag Ship gpus.. At the current price point I can buy a PS5 and a Meta Quest 3 for a cheaper price than a RX 7900 XT / RTX 4070 Ti Super mid range gpus that's crazy.

Although I am not an expert, nor do I have a KZread channel, nor am I a creator of technology content. I have 4 graphics, all tested on the same PC, with a Ryzen 9 7950x3d and with 64 GB of DDR5 RAM: RTx 3060 ti, RTX 4070 ti, Rx 7900XTX and the RTX 4080 super. Therefore, if I can say, without repeating what someone else repeats or without repeating what someone else tries. Nvidia's are excellent graphics, they are the best in fact, the RT theme, especially in the 4000 series, is spectacular. I don't use technologies such as DLSS or frame generation, it seems to me that games look bad when applying that. I liked playing in 4k and the 12GB of VRAM is not enough to move many titles to that resolution, without rescaling. The 4080 super has 16 GB of RAM and in many titles it goes very well, very few get to fill that VRAM, but I recognize that without technologies, those 16GB can become a limitation in the middle term. The RX 7900 XTX moves the RT well, not as much as the 4080 super, but well enough and without FSR, or frame generation, in pure raster. With the 24GB of VRAM of the 7900 XTX, the aging of this one will be slower. In summary, I can give my opinion on both brands, because I have tried both, I do not rely on KZread videos or the opinion of a friend or acquaintance and many times that is what many lack, to be able to create their own opinions. I like Nvidia graphics more than AMD's, especially because in productivity AMD's have limitations, but does the everyday user really use so much productivity software today? Those who do AI or machine learning, in short, must choose Nvidia, the rest of the mortals, any of the 2 solves and the price is the determinant, with some considerations of how the games look, although sometimes it is very subjective. If you can, take the test. Without knowing what graphics you are using, play a demanding title and have someone you trust change the graphs on your PC and try to distinguish which is which. You are going to be surprised.

great review, detail and description. I didn't have any issues described with the touchpad. For sounds, I find Volume Master chrome extension is great to increase volume or adjust the base, not perfect, but great tool to enhance ax15 sound. Tested a few games, playable, while some were questionable due to frame rate below not as high as it would need to be for those games (7 days to die, kingdom reborn), then again, these games weren't meant to be played on this laptop. But it's doable. I agree with the review, this laptop is perfectly designed for office use (my purpose for it), so the fact that it can go beyond that is amazing. Personally I dealt with network card issues (frequent disconnects from wifi), but dealing with resolving those. Out of the box it would only connect to to the 2.4 GHz network for me, so I adjusted settings to force it to connect to AC instead of auto.

I couldn't quite tell from the video, but does an optical drive installation preclude being able to use one of the HDD slots in the lowest position? I know I can move drives up the stack, but can a single HDD drive cage fit just above the optical drive slot? Nice to see a build video for the 901 using a white version of this case. I have some legacy hardware I'm not ready to give up and this is one of the best cases I've found for the Ryzen 9 7950 / 4090 build I'm planning. The 901 is the rare high end option to provides to have my old optical drive and 14GB spinning rust some discrete internal case space. I have too many external devices as it is.

I built my first modern era gaming PC back in February and went with the Merc 310 7900XTX. I was able to take advantage of an Amazon $100 gift card for getting their store card and then 5% off my purchase in cash back so I ended up getting the Merc 310 7900XTX for around $800 after the promos. Cannot complain one bit about that. Just using the Adrenaline "Rage" preset this thing will boost up to 3100-3200mhz and it seems to always run cool and quiet. From what I'm reading it sounds like I got fairly lucky with my silicon. Still new to all of this, but I've been loving what this card brings to the table. I run a main display of an LG C2 65" 4K 120hz and then 2 additional Dell 24" monitors and haven't had any issues.

I had the same problem with NFS2SE on my Pentium 4 build, so I setup a second Windows 98 PC built around an ASUS P5S-VM motherboard which has a 100mhz FSB. I then bought a Geforce MX400 PCI video card and paired that with a 3dfx Voodoo 1, and for sound a SB Audigy, and 256mb of Kingston PC 100 ram. Now I can run NFS2SE, and POD in 3dfx Glide mode, and 40 other Windows 95/98 games. To me it was worth having the second Windows 98 PC as I love games from that era, and some games only run on certain video cards using period correct drivers. Way back in 1997 I had my first computer, I added the 3dfx Voodoo 1, and I was blown away with what that card could do, now I have that same video card, and can experience the magic all over again! :)

Oh no. I just received the w king 40w 360 speaker. Not opened it yet but after you saying about the pot sound , I think I’m going to be disappointed. I’m currently using 1 30w w king and I was going to buy a 2nd but after I see the w king 40w 360, I just assumed it was a bit better skins then what I have and I even bought 2. Now I’m thinking about returning them. I’m such an idiot. I listened to all the glowing reviews on Amazon. I didn’t consider that the 360 probably won’t be good for me. I usually have speaker pointing at me but I guess now, I will lose half the sound that’s coming from other side of speakers, that won’t reach me. I feel so stupid now.

I had my 3080 TI break twice.. apparently a problem. The second time it got sent for fixing they gave me a 4070 TI Super instead! I found a guide for overclocking that card to it's max while being stable and below 60c and OC it manually. It runs perfectly without problems at 4k 120 frames in HDR with ray tracing and mostly all ultra settings, TAA or DLAA with 50-60fps on demanding games sometimes 45fps +/-
