Should you consider an ATX 3.0 PSU for your next PC build? Short answer - Yes, definitely.
Power supply manufacturers have been pumping out more and more ATX 3.0 units in the past few months, and prices have finally come down by a lot. You can grab a decent ATX 3.0 power supply for an affordable amount of money.
And this FSP Hydro G PRO 1000W unit I have here today appears to be one of them!
So did FSP release a goodie or baddie? And long story short - What are the perks of the new, most recent ATX 3.0 spec?

What are your personal past experiences with FSP PSUs? 🤔 I've had like 2 - 3 now and can't complain. 😊

Hi Nicolas. Great video and calming voice over. 😁 also been eyeing this PSU for a while now. quick question, is UVP really an important feature, considering i have a UPS? Power outage is quite common here in my area that's why i bought a UPS in the first place.

Thank you for your kind words! :) I think you should be fine with this PSU, especially since you already have your PC hooked up to a UPS. ^^

I bought two FSP PSUs in the past, can't complain about anything, they worked just fine. I even considered buying one again, shortly before I bought an RTX 4090, but decided to try and see if my current Seasonic 750W could handle the new card.. and so far so good :)

Woah, nice! What's the Wattage measured with CPU + GPU load combined? :D

I did not perform any kind of power consumption testing. the 4090 is OCed but limited to 400W and my new CPU (14700KF) is also OCed and limited to 253W. I should be fine as long as both components are not maxed out at the same time ;)

Don't buy this brand. I bought one a few years ago and it melted my 980TI after just a few hours of playing on it, and they only offered to exchange the PSU and totally ignored my bricked 980TI.

Nope, unfortunately not. I used to be able to do very, very basic rough soldering jobs about 10 years ago. But I forgot how to do even that now... Haha! :D
