Powerful, compact, ARGB and ATX 3.0. These are the words the Enermax Revolution D.F. X power supply can be described with.
The Revolution D.F. series enjoys a good reputation among its users, but in the case of today's D.F. X I was quite sceptical at first, honestly.
Today we're looking at the 1200W version of this 80 PLUS Gold certified unit.
Did Enermax release something worthwhile here or is it just a wannabe high-end PSU?
I'll be perfectly honest with you, the ARGB lighting that's supposed to be onboard has really put me off. It almost seems as if they wanted to create artificial added value. Or is it just me that got such a first impression?
Is the Revolution D.F. X really a good choice for you?

How does this compare to the D.F. 2?? I'm skeptical if any of them are good at all. BTW, DF2 is on a huge sale right now.

That's literally what brought me here too. It seems the DF2 just made B tier on the PSU tier list but I see some reviews from people saying after a few months it starts making a loud grinding noise. I also found a review stating their Enermax only lasted a few years total but they didn't specify which model. The sale is crazy right now but I'm starting to think its because the PSU won't have a great lifetime. Let me know if you found anything else about the DF2 and good luck with your build!
Oh, 1200W PSU for the upcoming rx 9900 xtx 480W and rtx 5000 series. Nice try NVIDIA and AMD. jk, good video, Nicolas! On a serious note: I'm picky too, don't care for RGB in my PSU... I like good topology and being a low ripple freak for optimal performane and longevity. 1200W is excellent for someone who's looking to save some money if their hardware consumes 600w on average (peak efficiency at 50% load). PSUs are a long time investment but you (the casual reader) don't need to burn money on a premium Seasonic, something on the level of Enermax shown here is good enough, just be skeptical like the title and dig up reviews.
Putting RGB on a PSU is morally wrong and should be outlawed.
