IMO, the seats are substandard and were not intended for long-distance travel. They should not have been installed on these trains. I will take Lumo, fly or go first class but I won't go LNER standard. Personally.
And this is exactly why you want to pay a bit extra for first class. In first class it's much less busy and the extra costs are insignificant. So I find the title of your video clickbait. And besides, you do get a drink and something to eat in first class. But the most valuable extra is (i) less busy and (ii) more space. It's up tp you to decide if you want to pay for it, but don't hate on it when you want to be a Scrooge.
Why i can’t find anyone taking a the national express bus to dover?
There's no windows, no ventilation, on a warm day they stink!

Bradford Interchange was great when it was first opened, but the bus station part of it was ruined in the late 1990s when it was torn down and replaced with a hideous reverse-off type bus station. We seem to have an obsession with these lately.

National express are awful. They upped prices over train strikes so getting to a funeral was crippling in cost. It is 100% cheaper and easier to get the train. At the absolutely cheapest option, travelling at one possible time only it cost the same as the train but not flexible, refundable or amendable. It's 4 hours on train and 8 on coach. Train is flexible, refundable and can amend, with tickets same price apart from peak, even when booking on day of travel. I will NEVER travel via National express again.
I love and hate Europe. I was fascinated by the stunning scenery and rich history, but I was overwhelmed by the high cost. I think TRIP's discount coupon saved me.

With the lack of high speed infrastructure and cost vs flying I really don’t understand how these routes exist. I’ve used american trains in a few states now and the whole experience has a very different feel to europe, in the sense it feels like boarding a train in america is some kind of novelty event and feels very dated (even right down to the ticket guys uniforms) whereas in europe its simply an everyday mode of transport and pretty much an identical experience

The thing I never understood was why didn't they just made the seating organisations like the 377s? Where the front end coaches have the good seats with big tables, then have the middle ones have the 3+2 arrangement?

Depend really. If this was 2017 and Northern Rail Pacer trains were still a thing and you were on Sheffield-Lincoln line. Driving would be much faster

Update, April 25th 2024, new trains still not in operation, no definite date as to when they will come into service due to numerous problems.
@Dylant's travel report at 6:40 the yellow one is the soap mincer. If you twist bottom of that one, you have small bits of soap. 😅
of course lumo didnt exist when this video was created but its also a good option for those who want to try a dofferent operator (if youve been on LNER already). sleeper is also gopd if money isnt an issue

There is a promotion recently, so it can be cheaper.
Whenever I have a train coupon I ignore the bus option because the train is more comfortable.
I like taking the train to London and Edinburgh. In the next two days, there will be a discount on the train tickets to Edinburgh, which is great.
Ja estamos em 2024 isso ainda esta para vir porque o PNS e o PS aiim o querem e ainda querem a linha onde nao pode haver competicao asiim os empregados da CP estao sempre em greve e os que trabalham ficam a espera dos comboios que nao chegam!!.... As you know Portugal and the Gov. is not allowing it to happen, they like the CP people to be on strike all the time because they don.t want competition!!
