This is like the Travel Reports of years ago. I don't mind the captions, and they do give one an experience of the actual trip and its sounds but overall there's much more to these when vocal commentary let's your personality come through. But if you need a break from that we'll understand.

Well done Dylan, it's like your earlier videos, when they were all captioned. I remember seeing Durham Cathedral last July, coming up from London to Edinburgh; its quite a historical structure, spanning the Romanesque to Gothic. I can't help but notice how slick and modern British trains look, our Amtrak trains are boxy and kind of sluggish. I'm planning on doing the Hadrian Wall walk next year, around September or October, with us ending up in Newcastle. While I'm there I've been thinking about taking a couple of days in Durham afterwards, before going down to London. Good work Dylan, chin up and until next time dude.

I hope you get your voice back soon, it’s always difficult to take it all in with captions. Newcastle Platform 1… you may recall before the pandemic TPE began running a regular service up to Edinburgh along the East Coast Mainline and one of the reasons for the 802’s. Since the pandemic that regular service was never properly restored other than one or two a day straight through. They effectively put a break into the service at Newcastle but the train needs to be parked for the time duration, so platform 1 get used where it then continues north, but this service seems to be more progressively being phased out. The platform 1 layover may be the remanent of the previous service.

Great video as usual My wife and I are travelling to Manchester next week, from Newcastle but via Doncaster. I didn't book the direct TPE train due to their reliability problems It'll be LNER to Doncaster, then TPE over to Manchester. We even booked the TPE trip as first class, as it was only £15 for the two of us (standard would have been £11.60) Only snag, no seat reservations, so I contacted TPE who just said .. sit anywhere .. we'll be very annoyed if we can't get 2 sears together in what looks like, a small first class section. If LNER can offer proper seat reservations at the time if booking, why can't TPE.

I just wish that they had direct trains from Manchester Victoria to Liverpool Lime St to connect with the passenger only ferries and Cruise Ships to Dublin (not Birkenhead) or at the very least, more direct trains from Manchester Victoria to Holyhead for the ferries to Dublin - in my 21 years living in Manchester, Irish Rail trains are way better, which also includes the Dublin DART trains and the LUAS Trams, which are even better than the Manchester Metrolink Trams - now if only we could get the LUAS up to the Irish Ferries/Stena Terminals and get tenders to go up the River Liffey at high tide to at least the Custom House or even up to Capel St Bridge
