Bartender, bassist, paper restorer, jewelry maker, restauranteur, English teacher, sex educator, guitarist, bartender, sound tech, teacher, works with animals, bartender, bassist, web designer, fashion designer, dj, retailer, bassist, cook, web publisher, filmaker, writer, sexuality consultant. You are asking these questions of a section of people who live in a different world, a similar world, with a similar outlook on life. The views of a chemist, contractor, rubbish collector, administrator, truck driver, surgeon, oil rig worker, insurance agent, dentist would most likely be different.

Amsterdam and dutch are two seperate things, people from the west are anything but direct when you are from the north.

Amsterdam people do not want to be told what to do (even when what they are being told are as per rules, and objectively correct). Also, Dutch are very direct. So basically Dutch can be direct (effectively rude) to others, but not the other way round.

This video offers much more "down to earth" and honest perspective about the dutch culture and behavior as a culture, congrats with this one! #AmsterdamRocks

Overtolerance? LOL. 1. Preferential immigration for White non-EU migrants like White Middle Easterners / Balkans (given than EU migrants who are overwhelmingly White, are under free-movement agreement, hence NOT racist) 2. Homogeneous Corporate World (much less non-natives compared to other Western countries) 3. Absence of non-Whites on media 4. Near total lack of interracial relationships

Basically it's racist but who cares this is our country and is a American I can't argue with that. But my thing is that they have to lie about the origins because I know it's wrong. They dress in blackface in Columbia during carnival season I didn't like that but it's not my culture so I have no say so.

My mother's family, who's name is Swarthout, are Frisian, Dutch. The descriptions of the Dutch people sound like my grandfather. Even though they came here in the 1600's, he was like this. He was blunt, hated rich people, grew his own garden, was a hell of a cook, and hated small talk, and didn't like to be told what to do. (I kind of got a lot of those traits!) And he was one of the best men I ever knew. And I miss him. Great, starting to tear up. Nice video.

Those impressions are clearly built on single experiences. Dutch share some standards, but for the rest they are just as different as everyone else in the world.
