Hi Jae, is the airport in Barbados customer friendly with a regular gate instead of going up and down steps on the aircraft, and an option for wheel chair assistance? Some small airports in the Caribbean require people to go up and down the steps of the aircraft and have long walks. Is Barbados better?
Hi Dovy, Ask for wheelchair assistance, they have a lift to access the plane without having to use the stairs …I think it’s at the backside of the plane.
This is definitely inspiring. I’m visiting Barbados on a cruise during the summer and would like to do some shopping at Burberry and other shops at Limegrove while there. Would you know if it is safe to go explore via taxi and shop at lime grove coming from the port?
Yes Michelle, the taxi drivers pick up from the port. Negotiate a price based on spending an agreed time at Limegrove You would need to be careful to get back to the port in time so you don’t miss your departure time.

Hopefully things are going smoother now, you seem to really have found your community here. Is this going to be your first hurricane season here ? If it is just be prepared that it is likely the power might go out for an extended period of time if we are impacted by a system.

I stumbled upon this video and I quite enjoyed it. Cheers to your adventure here. After you get over those frustrations you'll flow with the Bajan way of life. It forces you to slow down and enjoy the finer things - nature, the ocean, laughter, liming and doing absolutely nothing.
